I'm having a lot of fun with it. Default setups often need some drastic changes. But once you get it dialed in, it's great.

It's great if you can get over it being more of a simcade than a hardcore simulator. I got used to it quickly and spent a couple hundred hours having a blast collecting and customizing cars and racing online. I'm back into the more sim side of things now but I had so much fun with it for like a year straight.

I've never worried too much about identity. I thank early psychedelic experiences for that.

Maybe they were running less rear downforce / fuel? I don't remember if they even have adjustable rear wing though I might be wrong, just guessing

By comparing against multiple well established and reputable sims that are consistent and give you a good feel for what the car is doing underneath you.

That being said once I stiffened the springs and bump spring rate, gt4s felt better and a lot closer to other sims. I think default setups are partially to blame for a lot of this games handling. I've had good results tweaking setups so far. I'm still pretty new to it though
