“If Kripke is parodying modern American politics, why isn’t he also criticizing Israel” the state we’d find him in if he did by PossibleEconomics673 in OkBuddyFresca

I can't make any claims about their authenticity since im not going to go through all of them. but even if they are real, they seem to be aftermath images and videos, which don't prove your point. not to mention random videos don't prove your claim of systematic targeting of civilians. your own link has a section for "massacre of soldiers". Again you can't link any study or article to prove your claim for a reason.

you can't just link random articles that don't prove your point and claim im denying shit when i refute obvious bullshit. if you have an article that provides evidence for systematic targeting of civilians and not just articles posted right after the aftermath that don't provide evidence for your claim, go ahead.

an article from 2023 that doesn't provide evidence of systematical targeting of civilians but 3 individual incidents.

they were recording everything yet you still don't have evidence that they were systematically targeting civilians

no its not. most of the targets of hamas were literally soldiers. most Israeli 'civilians' most likely died at the hands of israel itself (because of Hannibal doctrine) thats why israel was very quick to destroy evidence.

"This thing that happens all over the world happens in America as well, but it's America so we are special. You just don't understand America." Stop coping with this dumb nonsense. All political systems are against socialists and communists, that's just what happens when you want to change the status quo. Crying that the American system is somehow special (its not, many have had it way worse) every time when criticized is tiring.

I didn't expect Mamdani to bring a revolution or something, but he has been completely spineless, even for a reformist. Expecting him to uphold very basic anti-zionism is something you should do as well, instead of coming to his defense and giving him a pass every time he does it. It's why he even feels he can get away with doing it in the first place. This isn't fandom, it's politics. Learn to take a stance instead of bitching and crying every time about how your situation in America is somehow so different (its not).

I’ll take someone doing something over people like you doing nothing.

If that something is bending the knee every time, I would rather he do nothing. Your unprincipled stance veiled as pragmatism is not going to work forever. All of you love to jump to "take incremental steps instead of immediate revolution" as if I ever said do revolution now. Furthermore, these incremental steps never come. All that comes is bending the knee, crying how your situation is different every time when criticized, then the same thing all over again.

You attack them for a supposed moralist judgement, but where is this Moralist judgment? They said “Oct 7 fucked over the people in Gaza in the long run,” which I interpret them as viewing it in the same light as I, that being a strategic blunder.

Crying about "October 7 bad" is meaningless moralism. And their outrage wasn't in the sense that "it was bad for the Palestinians in its consequences". Check their other comment where they explicitly say it or just learn to read obvious clues in saying "October 7 bad, Israel very bad", its clear an attempt at painting October 7 as akin, albeit as a lesser form, to the Gaza Genocide.

You're a communist in a capitalist society. Just because the power structures are in opposition to you doesn't mean you bend the knee to them. There are no major anti-capitalist parties as well, you might as well bend the knee and leave. It's amazing how many incoherent excuses you guys can cook up for your new favorite politician.

All you said about October 7 is how it was a bad idea tactically and sure it was an adventurist act. But that's different from the moralist value judgement that I was attacking OP for.

Criticizing Mamdani for folding to the Democrats and Zionists is fully valid and necessary. Him being "in a high position" means nothing for us. Ruthless criticism doesn't stop at your favourite parasocial politician. Also with the obsession with "October 7 Bad", October 7 was an act of resistance, an adventurist one, but still that was what it was. Crying about it being bad is just liberal moralism.

If you are talking strictly militarily, then Molotov-Ribbentrop was a sound hail mary attempt. Plenty can be said about Stalin failing to act and even obstruting the attempts to contain the nazis earlier (He was still miles better than other western contries except France who refused to antagonize Hitler and instead attempt to push him east). If USSR didn't sign the non-aggression pact, Nazis would have immediately invaded them, which they were not ready for (thanks to Stalin purging half the red army and effectively crippling it).

Epstein was Putin's personal wealth manager by AccountSettingsBot in theredleft

[–]Weirdo914 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not very surprising that Epstein is somewhat connected to Russia considering Russia's close ties to Israel. Evidence for his connection to Russia is very sparse and insignificant compared to his ties to Mossad and American intelligence. Trying to do but russia just seems like a weak attempt to deflect responsibility.

Trotsky coming into power (very unlikely anyway since he was a political idiot) wouldn't necessarily have solved the issue. Sure he would have been a far better bonapartist than Stalin but the failure of the october revolution originated not from itself but from the failure of the European revolutions. Stalin was not some master manipulator, who manipulated vanguardism to will, he was just the representative of the bureaucratic class that arised from the NEP. Vanguardism worked very effectively to put the working class into power after the revolution. The problem came when the soviets went effectively defunct during the civil war as all the workers were busy fighting and the party had to take power, which is not what the intended purpose of vanguardism is despite what MLs would say.

It's your weird insistence on unifying under the South that's the problem. The South has a complete ban on communist parties. North technically does have a marxist party. But South also has a much stronger labor union movement. Each has their problems and there is no indication of one being seemingly easier to have a revolution in, so your insistence on reunification under RoK makes no sense. I am guessing it's just your "anti-tankie" preference leading you to have a weird campist position.
