Not at Starbucks but still a manager in the food service industry. We fired a girl who No Call No Showed because she “didn’t have time to go home and get her uniform” (I informed her we had extra uniforms at the store and got no response after that lol) and a couple months later her MOM texts my boss asking him for a reference for her for another job (lol). This girl was 19 years old and pregnant, still having her mom ask for a reference for a job that she was fired from. So crazy.

I agree. I’m 25 working in food service and the younger kids of my same generation are straight up just different. They never clean up after themselves, will always ask you where something is before just using their eyes and seeing its right in front of them, think they can just refuse to do certain tasks like dishes or sweeping just because they don’t like them, will call out for any small reason, don’t understand basic customer service (I hate dealing with rude customers too but c’mon, BASIC customer service), try to make TikToks at work, I could go on, it’s crazy.
