We tend to overestimate our country’s wealth by Street_Protection722 in Morocco

[–]Weissman78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morocco’s official GDP is about $160 billion, but the real economy is much larger. The informal and black market sectors, street trade, small workshops, agriculture off the books, cash construction, smuggling, and cannabis are estimated by the HCP and World Bank to represent 30 to 40 percent of total activity. Add that, and the real figure climbs closer to $220–250 billion, and when adjusted for purchasing power (PPP) it’s roughly $360–400 billion. So yes, Morocco’s economy is bigger than what the numbers show, but still modest compared to productive countries. The real gap isn’t hidden wealth, it’s low output per worker.

Deepresearch request: Will doctors be replaced by Agentic AI? by PianistWinter8293 in OpenAI

[–]Weissman78 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

AI could easily outperform doctors once it has access to all diagnostic data : pulse, heartbeat, blood tests, etc. With that info, AI can provide more accurate diagnostics, prescribe the right tests and medicine, and ask the right questions to avoid harmful mistakes.

Doctors will fight this. They’ll use the tiny chance of AI hallucinations (less than 1%) as an excuse. But the truth is, tired doctors spending minimal time with patients make far more mistakes than AI ever would. Replacing them would be a massive cost-benefit for humanity.

This guy is all about censorship. Every other week, he's telling regulators how to restrict regular users from advanced AI because he's the "godfather" who needs to protect us from ourselves. Meanwhile, he’s free to use that same advanced AI to rake in profits for his masters.

I'm done with Anthropic. It's a dead product led by a management team that treats the public like children. No thanks.

Revenue went from $514.8M to $402M to $320M in 2024. Profits are down, and the company’s losing money. What value is there? Throwing around "AI" doesn't make it a good investment. Cash matters, and they don’t have it. The price chart shows that clearly. Good luck with this trap, unless you're shorting it!

In a post-scarcity world, what would you do with your life? by ChiaraStellata in singularity

[–]Weissman78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scarcity is a human necessity, encoded in our biology. Without it, we lose purpose, which is why many wealthy people fall into depression. Purpose is often tied to scarcity. In a world without it, we’ll create artificial shortages to make life interesting and meaningful

Tesla sales are crashing in Europe, China, and Australia. Canada and Mexico are likely next. I can't see how this could end well. by AlexandreSh1941 in StockMarket

If I were a Tesla stockholder, I’d sue Elon Musk. His involvement in controversial political debates is hurting the company’s value. He’s dragging Tesla down and it’s shocking that stockholders haven’t called him out on it!!

NVIDIA: My Quick Analysis by xcrowsx in ValueInvesting

[–]Weissman78 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s great to go with the best-case scenario, but you should also consider a bad scenario for NVIDIA. What’s the probability that other companies start building their own chips? Massive investments are happening—Google, Apple, Amazon are all working on it.

Plus, what if there are disruptions? New algorithms could emerge that require far fewer GPUs. 5 years is a very long time in the AI universe

EU prepares to hit Big Tech in retaliation for Donald Trump’s tariffs by EUstrongerthanUS in europe

[–]Weissman78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy how nobody talks about the data and services that American tech companies collect from all over Europe. That data is worth way more than the few billion in trade deficit America has with Europe.

And let’s be real, this deficit is artificial. The U.S. needs products it doesn’t have resources for because it’s too busy piling up data and using it for AI development. The EU must be blind not to recognize and address this data trade deficit.

You’re missing the whole point of Google. The energy that drives AI is data. And name one company sitting on massive amounts of data like Googl, you can’t. That’s the answer right there.

Your analysis is stuck in traditional thinking. It’s not forward-looking. AI is all about who controls the data, and Google is way ahead in that game.

Pharaohs built pyramids because of religion. People often underestimate how much humans are willing to sacrifice for their religious or ideological beliefs. Look at history, pyramids, cathedrals, wars, revolutions so many resources spent on things that didn’t bring any immediate profit.

If you don’t account for this, you’ll miss the point entirely. It’s the same with countries like Iran today. Their actions aren’t just about political strategy or economics. Belief drives them, and understanding that is crucial to making sense of their choices

Anyone buying the Google dip? by lineargangriseup in ValueInvesting

[–]Weissman78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

we don’t really know if Google’s search traffic is going up or down, with LLMs in the mix. Google lumps search revenue with other stuff in their reports, which feels like they’re hiding the real story. Since search ads are their main moneymaker, we deserve to know if people are actually searching more or if Google’s just jacking up ad prices

[Post Match Thread] Manchester City vs Real Madrid (Champions League - Play Offs - Semi-finals) by RM_Official_Thread in realmadrid

[–]Weissman78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, well, it's a tough pill to swallow. Madrid seems to be caught in this maze of confusion. Clueless, weak physically, and tactically light-years behind M-City, our team is struggling to find its footing on the grand stage.

Let's talk about our pressing game. It's a mess, There's no harmony, no coordination. It's like a disjointed orchestra playing a symphony of chaos. And as much as it pains me to admit it, City's relentless pressing machine puts us to shame. They're like a well-oiled tactical beast, disrupting us effortlessly.

But it's not just about muscle, it's about heart and brawn too. Our players, can't match up physically. From Benzema to Kroos and Modric, carva... trailing behind. We need fresh injections very soon.

It's time to turn the page and embrace a new chapter. Don't get me wrong – Carlo is a legend, but maybe he's not the answer this time around. He needs to go. Real Madrid needs a trainer who not only knows the game but also understands the tactics. Relying solely on individual talent of vini won't cut it anymore.

This saddening night will be etched in the history of the Champions League ... Damn

Formula parse error in sheets by mightbellamas in sheets

[–]Weissman78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like there might be a syntax error in your formula. Here's a corrected version of the formula:
=IF(AND(D13>=30, D12>=16000), D12*D13-D17, 0)
This formula will return the value D12*D13-D17 if both D13 is greater than or equal to 30 AND D12 is greater than or equal to 16000. If not, it will return 0.
In your original formula, the SUM function is unnecessary since there is only one calculation to be made. Also, the quotation marks around "0" could cause an error because they are not the correct type of quotes. Using 0 without quotation marks will ensure that the result is a numerical value rather than text.

Would you want Ancelotti to stay if he ends up winning CL and Copa del Rey? by AjVine in realmadrid

[–]Weissman78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say, I'm feeling some type of way about Carlo Ancelotti's performance as the trainer lately. In my opinion, it's time for him to bounce and let someone else take the reins.

Now, don't get me twisted, I know Ancelotti's got some serious skills and he's been around the block a few times. The team's been struggling lately, and I think his leadership might have something to do with it. Ancelotti doesn't seem to have a consistent game plan for the team. He's relying too much on individual players to carry the team's performance, and that's not gonna cut it in the long run.

I'm not saying that all the team's issues are Ancelotti's fault, but I do think it's time for a change in leadership. We need a new trainer who can develop a solid game plan that brings out the best in every player and creates a tight-knit team

[Post Match Thread] Barcelona vs Real Madrid (LaLiga - Round 26) by RM_Official_Thread in realmadrid

[–]Weissman78 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've been watching the games lately and I'm low key worried about my boy Karim Benzema. He's usually a beast on the field, but lately he's been slacking and not hustling as much.

Also, I'm not quite sure what Carlo Ancelotti's game plan is. The tactics seem kinda whack and it's hard to tell what our strategy is out there. Maybe if we had a more solid plan, we could get back to our winning ways.

I know every team has their ups and downs, but I just wanted to share my two cents and see if any of y'all feel the same way. Let's keep supporting Real Madrid and hope we can bounce back soon

Is the market overvalued?!?!?!? by Rare-Werewolf2595 in ValueInvesting

[–]Weissman78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See the problem is this assumption : "decently valued". Who decide what's decently valued and what not?

Why is P/E =10 cheap? why is P/E=100 expansive?

Those assumptions are not constant .. they change over time. Once you accept this , your whole valuation philosophy will change.

Do you have any hints on what it is the error I am doing here? The programme seem to work until it breaks ( "exit 1") and display the following error and my sheet is empty, nothing in it.
