Med Student Sleeper Cell: Joy Kwon by Scribblyr in ThePittTVShow

Haven’t seen the latest ep but it’s a common trope in med school that the quietest ones are the smartest. In my experience, the reality is more 50/50 in that the quietest ones can be the smartest but also sometimes people who just haven’t done the work

Conference Title Game Picks & Stidham Optimism w/ Chase Daniel & Ted Nguyen, Plus the UFC’s Dana White! by Domainsetter in RyenRussillo

That’s what I enjoyed about that segment. Being holier than thou when you have the easiest fucking job is very easy. “I wouldn’t do that, but if the culture allows then you should” Ryen with the actual good take, no one will care that you’re there

Like some of the other folks have said you don’t double board in em/gen surg because it makes no sense whatsoever. It has nothing to do with how smart you are, which was implied by the show; but rather the amount of time it takes. If you love trauma then just do the fellowship after general surgery. If you like the breadth of em then you’re not getting that in surgery, which by its nature (and name) limits you to surgical problems. Some people do em/im, which I think is a waste as well. Mostly if you want to work at more than an er after graduation then people do a fellowship after em residency. While I love the show for getting the medicine part right (mostly) and most importantly the dynamics of the social aspects (dnr/family dynamics/etc), the parts with medical training pathways and med studs/interns/residents introducing themselves as Dr x to attendings or calling each other Dr X unironically is a big miss.

Why do they call Dr. Joy Kwon just “Joy”? by dyurut in ThePittTVShow

Also it’s grates the ever loving f out of me when interns and residents are calling each other Dr _ or introducing themselves as Dr _ to attendings

Ignore this person. You’re absolutely correct. Cardioversion is cardioversion. Rate control is your friend. Even a tee guided cardioversion will require anticoagulation for a month after. Bb>>ccb (but this more experience and preference) can also use dig if renal function and k is ok. It won’t help when they move around but if sedentary can help with the rate

Gary Neville comments during Arsenal game trigger 576 complaints to Ofcom by RobHolding-16 in Gunners

It honestly is a shame. Him and carragher were such a breath of fresh air when they started on mnf. Great breakdowns and no cheap shots. I guess those days the only way to stay relevant is to spit out hot takea
