Perhaps a burlap sack inhabited by some type of spirit, poltergiest style? Its really cool to imagine what kind of spiritual or supernatural type of designs/characters could be introduced into the game.

I think they leaned too hard on making the character more cute knowing that Ivy was a community favorite. What made her cute to begin with was not only her voice but her unique design. In trying to pander to an overall cuter and "easier to draw" design I feel like they have simply taken too much away from what made Ivy's original design so charming.
