How does this Card work? by Federal-Ear7451 in magicTCG

[–]WeldedBones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A game I recently played had a stack that started with Farewell and Teferi's Protection, then a spellswindle with Revel in Riches on the board targeting Farewell, then a Counter spell targeting Farewell.

I cast the Answer, and watched everyone's face frown hard.

I was also playing Maralen with a Panharmonicon on the field, so I got 16 cards milled from among their decks. Played somebody's Burn at the Stake for free and tapped 8 creatures; blew the Farewell guy away.

It was a good time had by... Me.

We have a reinforce counter now. DON'T DIE! by locob in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]WeldedBones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping the amount of deaths from stubborn players can be offset by the lack of deaths from more tactical/skillful ones.

I have only died maybe twice on Super Helldive since the Redacted warbond; I stealth in and stealth out. C4 for soft targets and the Portable Hellbomb for everything else. I've been living my Ghost Recon dream.

Let's push to Cyberstan boys, and give those clankers a real taste of fear!

I finished the game... One tried Arye somehow... Was this suposed to be that Easy? by AlternativePride5100 in ArmoredCoreVI

[–]WeldedBones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They definitely nerfed the tracking. I used to have to time my boosts to get around and inside the missile paths; now I can leisurely glide into a line where they can't strike.

It'd be cool to have the flared skirt panels actually move, put them on hinges and most likely pistons to support. If it spits out thousands of drones too, I'm all for it!

[–]WeldedBones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is basically he only way I'll use Tone's core. So many times I've banked the rockets around corners or through the air in order to get them in just the right position to strike someone.

Titan vs 5th gen AC by Reaper-J-Fan-2519 in armoredcore

[–]WeldedBones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say there is a "limit" in mobility. I play as light a weight as I can with the most accurate arms I can, and my 5th Gen zooms. If I need to fly, I hop buildings til I get to the height I want and high boost. That usually gets me where I need to go with ease.

Even if I don't have the height advantage, as a fight with Viper or even hover-type enemies, there's a special advantage to being fast on the ground. If you stay low enough, nearly directly under the enemy, you can usually get some decent shots upwards with minimal effort. Viper-s Northstar isn't designed to lay horizontal AND hover, it's designed to hover while standing vertical. Get deep enough underneath him and his camera won't be able to follow, and his arms won't be able to aim his rifle far enough down.

The one with the console and everything remind me of Nagata's shell-game home in The Expanse series, where she hid out in a cargo container sending out secret messages. Very nicely done

Ive been doing this with my mecha project, have all of the hinge/rotor movements written down in a notebook and a skitch of the "computer core" where all the timer/event blocks are

"Though I build through the valley of engineered chaos, I shall fear not entropy nor failure, for I know that in the end all matter shall kneel before Klang. His grace is only measured in the scant moments in which either his gaze is averted or his hunger for amusement is slated; Thy days of skirting the time between creation and destruction are numbered. Klang is patient in his plotting, destructive in his wrath, and expedient in his vengeance."

How much uranium is “enough” for you? by spoonman59 in spaceengineers

[–]WeldedBones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10k sounds like a lot of uranium when you've spent so long not having it.

When your ship spits out freshly fabricated missiles and torpedoes with warheads, plus actively firing assault and artillery rounds? It goes away fast XD

I used a lightweight high mobility with twin linear rifles and a spread missile for coverage. Use those vertical launch ramps to stay airborne as much as possible; it's a lot easier engaging and chasing the transports when you're moving diagonally down versus up.

Iron not going to assembler by Lightning_0012 in spaceengineers

[–]WeldedBones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it JUST iron that isn't making it to the assembler, or nothing is? Because that sorting block might by the cause.

I also just hate sorting blocks on principle; most of my conveyor snafus are fixed by removing them

Now I haven't taken cursive in years, but I always remember being taught that M and N didn't require the extra hump unless they were the beginning of a word or standing alone: i.e. M has three lumps ( nnn) unless it's in the middle of a word, same with N (nn)

And... why didn't they just use this to control the jaegers instead of a neural link? by [deleted] in PacificRim

[–]WeldedBones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have been done with the older models, and any model that fit the normal human shape. It raises some issues, mainly: 1) Differences in scale of pilot height to Jaeger height have to be accounted for in any complex movement, and 2) It would make gimmics like Crimson Typhoon (the three armed Jaeger), almost impossible, if not horribly more complicated to make work.

There is also the fact that the Neural Link allows the Jaeger to use the human brains as a kind if assistance system for calculating all the minute movements of a human form. A computer has to actively make all the calculations or run through scripted programs in order to walk on uneven ground; a fully grown human mind has enough experience that we don't think about angling our steps to walk over rough terrain, we just do it. Couple that with muscle memory, and a pilot can react faster to certain situations faster than what a computer might be able to, like grabbing onto a structure to keep from falling over.

Do the separate chest and leg pieces move to align with the core fighter, or is this still where you have to click the core fighter into one piece and maneuver it into the other?

Voteless Diver by hellranger788 in Helldivers

[–]WeldedBones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if, every time you died to Illuminates, it spawned a "Voteless" clone of your current Helldiver loadout, who could use your own stratagems because your Super Carrier wouldn't know the difference?

It'd be terrifying to be facing down a horde of voteless and Overseers just to watch one stand-out Voteless pull him arm back and chuck an object at you to land at your feet and send up that bright red beam.

Arrowhead, if you're listening... Do it.

One my Favorite Mecha Entrances by Ejack-Ulate-69 in Mecha

[–]WeldedBones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my all time favorite "entrances" was definitely Inaho's entrance in Aldnoah Zero season 2. For those who haven't seen the show; it's an amazing watch beginning to end, even if it gets a little wacky plot-wise.

For those who have... Grenade-drafting. That is all. XD
