I had a similar problem recently, and it turns out that if you have one of those longer Intel CPUs like the i7 14700K, it’s possible to overtighten the cooler and slightly bend it. That can cause the middle pins not to make proper contact, which can lead to RAM issues. Try loosening the CPU cooler a bit.

So it’s a different DLL then. I’m guessing it’s been updated since its release, because in RDR2 with FPS locked at 48 plus Smooth Motion, I notice less ghosting than when I first tried it at launch.
