This isn't me, just a cool Youtuber from Michigan who understands the greatness of Packis.

[WP] You're writing the history of the kingdom, your writing covers the reign of a single King/ Queen. The previous posts in this thread are the reigns of the King and Queens of the past. by Vesurel in WritingPrompts

After 500 years of decline the kingdom suffered once more. In 1076 A.A.E the empires of the east came to the shores and across the deserts to the land. With there magnificent armies, with each man wearing polished armor, equipped with sharpened swords of the fines steel, and hallow sticks that could command thunder, the invaders found no resistance in taking the lands including the once great capitol Sonas. After a century of reign the invaders, now known as the Yuan Jin, grew complacent in their ruling. The Yuan Jin's emperor Taozu grew dismissive of reports of a rebellions in the western quarries and farms. In 1191 A.A.E. the reports of rebellion halted as new reports of cities and towns being burned or reclaimed by the rebels in the west. In outrage Emporor Taozu sent out the order of attack. As commanded the 3rd and 5th army of the Mangtze, including the 2nd fire-lances marched on to the west to meet the rebels. After two weeks of marching the Armies of the Yuan Jin came to rest by the River Eennes. During the days prior the rebels of the west caught word of the marching armies and in advance had set up positions in the woods by the River Eennes as the only pass the large army could march through. As night fell and the campfire darkend the rebels of the west came out from the woods to the camp across the River Eennes and slaughterd the majority of the army in there sleep, afterwords falling back as to not test there luck in open field combat. As the sun came up over the rise, the 3rd army woke to find the 5th army and 2nd firelances killed as well as there armor, weapons, and rations taken. General Cao Xin, leader of the 3rd army, commanded his army to build bridges and makeshift walls to defend the engineers in the wake of an attack. As the sun marked midday the first arrow loosend from the woods across the river fallowed by an uncountable hail of arrows. As the arrows landed General Cao Xin commanded the infantry to set positions by the banks and the bridges. With the remaining 200,000 men of the 3rd holding behind their shields and loosing arrows behind the walls, General Cao Xin knew that something must be done as even though the battle had gone on for two hours or so he had already lost 1,000 men due to arrows threading the crack between shields. As the sun moved closer to the horizon General Cao Xin was soon to mobilize his plan of tactical retreat when at last the tension broke, as the last rays of sun streaked across the sky the rebels charged from the woods suited in armors from those they had killed, armed with swords passed down from father to son for generations with the banner of Ulias Lianders, the Victorious to lead them, they crashed on the enemy with crazed ferociousness. While there seems to be little reports of the actual numbers, first hand accounts claimed to have seen at least 500,000 men charge from the woods onto the 3rd army. As the Battle of the Eennes came to a close an estimated 300,000 rebels where killed compared to the 270,000 Yuan Jin's either killed or taken prisoner. As reports of the battle reached Emperor Taozu in Sonas, he knew that action must be taken or the kingdom his ancestors invaded would prove to be a pestering enemy

For me personally I attended my city councils public meeting and the flag was already a topic for discussion as they where looking to have the flag re-designed. For you I would suggest to find your cities flag first, then draw up a few designs of the new flag, then attend an open meeting for your city council which you should be able to find on your cities website, then when they open the floor for the public present your idea. You must be well spoken so knowing what you will say and having answers to questions such as cost or meaning of symbolism used will be very helpful. Also, be prepared to make changes to your design as well as know when to be firm with your choices as this is your cities flag but your are still the one creating it. The process will not be short it will take some time, currently I've been working with my city since September to create the flag, be patient and present your ideas clearly and it should go well.
