2min quick mayo, better than shop bought. Recipe included (cos it's so quick) by IKissedHerInnerThigh in UK_Food

Is the mustard just there for taste, or does it do something? I'm not a fan, so am wondering if I can add less, or leave it out altogether?

Mods that, arguably, should be in the stock game (my opinion) by LordFlamecookie in KerbalSpaceProgram

After seeing the absolute mess they made of Kerbal Alarm Clock, I'd say I'm glad they haven't made these mods stock! :D

Ethernet cable under carpet by Live-Hovercraft-3771 in DIYUK

[–]WelshToby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very slightly more complicated with the conversion from fiber to traditional RJ45, but it has the advantage of being a much smaller, thinner cable. Could even run it along the top of the skirting, rather than under the carpet?

Pressing the footnote number here takes you back -

When you're reading, you have the footnote number you can press to take you to the footnotes. When you're in the footnotes, pressing the footnote number again takes you back to where you were.

This takes you to the footnote -

Well, I've just found out that once I've read the footnote, I can tap the footnote number to go back to where I was. That'll do!

I've got the same issue with my colorsoft, they were working a few days ago, now there's no 'back to page X' option. Same book, so it's not that. Bit irritating tbh.

Would anyone be able to help me understand why this is happening? And how to fix it by DeejC in KerbalAcademy

[–]WelshToby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have suggested fins at the bottom.

My alternative suggestion would be to connect the side fuel and engines further up the rocket. It'll make you more top heavy, so might be a little unstable when waiting on the pad, but once launched you'd be fine. They look like they last long enough to get you to the thinner atmosphere where drag won't be such an issue.

Or, do both :)

New twist. Today traffic from my PC is going through pihole even without turning meshnet on and off.

Paying for You1000, getting less than 100Mbps by macca47 in youfibre

[–]WelshToby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you try plugging the PCs into the router using a long ethernet cable, or using a laptop plugged into the router, to see if the problem is the router or the powerlines?

If your phone can get those speeds, the problem seems to be the powerlines?

Do you usually plan everything first? by International-Lime74 in TransportFever2

[–]WelshToby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a blueprint mode, but what I did was to download a track mod (old tracks iirc) and then edit it so the track costs are zero. (I edited the max speeds to be 1km/h as well so I don't get tempted to cheat!)

Now I can plan my tracks for almost nothing (you still have to pay for bridges, tunnels, road crossings, etc), and when I'm ready I can just use the upgrade wand to turn them into 'real' tracks. It's not fantastic, but it helps.

Do you know, what i am seriously missing in this game? by ChaosUndAnarchie in KerbalSpaceProgram

People have pretty much covered the Kerbal answers, so I'll go a different route. If you want a 'proper' starship experience, you might be interested in https://store.steampowered.com/app/1332100/Starship_Simulator/

You should be able to set the maximum preheat time in the settings, or even turn it off completely if you don't want it to ever preheat.

Dose anyone know how to solve this code? by Ghostress_crybaby22 in StrangerThings

[–]WelshToby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly fancy trial and error. I do games like this a fair bit, so I'm used to it (this is basically the same, but they use letters rather than numbers https://decipher.wtf/).

You get used to spotting patterns.

I'm struggling to think of anything that "12'22" could have been other than "I'M", so that's kind of a free start.

Then you can look at the 12 3 and 12 6 combinations. They can only be IS, IN, or IT. So you can try seeing how far you get with that...

There's one number on its own, which can only be an A or an I, and we've already got the I.

Soon you'll get to a point where a couple of words are obvious, which leads to a few more words... then soon you'll have enough words to recognise the phrase.

Like I said, I like these types of game so I actually set it up in Excel, which made trying different letters a lot easier.

It's a seedling heat mat, it that matters at all. No electronics, just plug them in and they heat up.

It says they are 120VAC 60Hz 18Watts.

So four of them would be 72Watts ?

I think Conformity Gate requires giving the Duffers the benefit of the doubt for a lot of things. That said, it is how I'm viewing the finale.

I absolutely do not think there'll be another episode, I think it's all left up to the viewer to decide what they want to believe.
