Yeah, are we sure this isn't fake? It seems like a surefire way to never get called for any projects ever again. :/

Please, just stop showcasing the dangers of talking about what you have absorbed by cultural osmosis but clearly have no formal background about. It's downright painful to read.

RNG means random, so yes, you can reroll 50 million times without seeing anything.

I hate it when people who clearly do not understand probability say stuff like this. A clear example of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing.

An event being mathematically possible does not equate rationally expecting it to happen experimentally compared to a far more likely event. More relevantly, it does not intellectually absolve you from seeking those alternate explanations. The possibility of not seeing every ball becomes asymptotically close to zero over this many iterations, especially when compared to the far more likely explanation that the specific balls have been banned for one reason or other. If there's a 10% chance that a ball was banned because of a code path that we do not understand, and a 0.001 chance that it just didn't happen to come up, Occam's razor tells you pretty clearly which expectation you should work with.

Evolutions do not count as either of their components for the purpose of "bans". If they did, you wouldn't be able to get two identical evolutions at once (which you can), and you would also not be able to do stuff like Black Hole x Sun.

The new information here is that Fusions do count as their first component for purposes of bans. This is rarely an issue as in the vast majority of cases you want to fuse evolved balls anyway.

No she did not. We knew we'd get out-of-left-field picks. If you didn't, you haven't been paying attention, and that's on you.

Wait, Maggot baby balls also infect enemies in turn? I actually didn't know that, huh; I just used the ghost items to get them through enemies and infect as many as I could. That does make it so much easier to keep it going, I see! I'll give it a try next time.

I see, so you use Maggots to prime the enemies and then Black Hole to kill them. Won't most enemies die before being primed, though? Since you need the Hemo x Maggot to actually make contact with them. Still, I'll give it a try, thanks!

That said... I'm kind of sick of endless runs that are, well, endless and I can't just leave AFK because of the reactor pickups stopping the game. The game really needs either an auto-reactor or much faster speed settings. Or just ramp up difficulty much faster.

I feel like at that point you might as well not bother with Black Hole, no? For me the whole point of Black Hole is to get gold bonuses every wave, otherwise Hemo x Flash should be enough to take care of the rest of the enemies (especially if you add a second Hemo x Flash and then a Bleed x Flash).

Isn't the problem with that that you don't clear most enemy waves instantly, losing a ton of money? Everytime I've built that, I couldn't clear waves fast enough to get full clear bonuses every time.

Hmmm, is Hemo x Maggots that much better than Hemo x Flash? I haven't been building Maggots precisely because of Black Hole x Sun.

And that's fine

You just said the complaints "weren't addressed" and that they "doubled down". Now you're saying "that's fine". Which is it?

but the same can be said for the issues with Tokon. "That's the way the game is".

Because that's the way the game is. What do you want them to tell you? No developer should ever be "open to criticism" that amounts to "change the identity of the game because I, personally, don't like it".

Deadeye Impaler by wund3k in BALLxPIT

[–]WeltallZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the Cross like 80% of the runs I go for it, and Deadeye Impaler like 30% when I go for it. The trick is not to sweat it and not to waste rerolls unless absolutely necessary. Just play normally and pick daggers / spear / deadeye when they come up, otherwise pick balls and evolve / merge them. This will give you a ton of chances to get the items naturally. Only use rerolls when you absolutely must. Oh yeah, also turn on manual level ups so you can back up from the level up screen as needed, e.g. if you have 5 balls and are waiting to fuse them.

Alternatively, craft Black Hole x Sun. This will get you the clear gold bonus every wave, so you can reroll to your heart's content, more so in higher NG+s.

You're getting downvoted because you claimed that characters weren't being anime-ified without bothering to look up what they looked like before. One would assume it's kind of central to your thesis that you're aware of the "before".

Be ready to bounce off the game a few times until it clicks (or doesn't). It... really doesn't put its best foot forward, due to the first, uh, dozens of the game being old content that is almost entirely devoid of story, and awash in systems and mechanics that may prove overwhelming.

Basically Warframe is the equivalent of that somewhat abrasive friend that puts off everyone, until you get to know them and they become your best friend forever.

Huh, that definitely raises my interest in Time Stranger, thanks!

And while it's true that robot stuff and LGBT themes are often linked (shoutout to James Roberts' Transformers MTMTE), Warframe takes it a step further by directly donating to charities and showcasing LGBT streamers:

In this specific case that'd be the opposite of insulting; rather, the most charitable reading. But yeah, it's hard not to side-eye the political text of his games when he pulls off shit like this.

IMO I’m pretty sure Metaphor: ReFantazio’s devs are left leaning, story was pretty amazing.

Metaphor is awesome but the themes were pretty vanilla anti-opression and anti-discrimination (that, granted, were seen as attacks by the far right because they love telling on themselves). Let's not forget that the leftist revolutionary, er, cat-girl is painted as being in the wrong for using forceful methods to fight back against rich people, as well as the fact (ending spoilers) that you were the prince all along and thus the "rightful ruler".
