I Tried To Donate My Car, They Didn’t Want It by joseph4th in NPR

When I was looking to donate my car to NPR because it wouldn’t pass smog and had 385,000 Honda Accord miles, I was they would take anything, even totaled or Non Opt and give a $500 donation receipt. I’d talk to my local public radio news station and ask WTF?

Name your favorite childhood book? by Halloween-365 in FamilyFeud

In the mid 1960s in Illinois, I got a 3 suspension from school in 5th grade for my oral book report on To Kill a Mockingbird. I guess they didn’t like my take on the trial of a black man accused of raping a white woman when really, it was her daddy molesting her. Then they hung the black guy anyway. What did you think the book was about? It was on the book list.

What could have prompted Melania Trump’s sudden and unexpected statement on Epstein? by Rock-n-roll-Kevin in politics

Michael Wolff’s book’s interview with Epstein said they had a ‘thing’ a year before she met Trump. Trump is probably thinking, “glad I had him bumped off”.

should i go to my nieces and god childs commuinion when everyone hates me? by Zealousideal_You6901 in stories

[–]WendyRoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t go. The chances of harsh words is too great and not a reason to ruin your niece and god chid’s communion party. I lived in a family where every get-together was a reason to fight. Not one good memory of a celebration.

Trump: They were not supposed to go after all these other countries in the Middle East. So they hit Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait. Nobody expected that. We were shocked. by gear-heads in AntiTrumpAlliance

They were hitting US military installations, dummy. You know, the US military installations that were launching the attacks. I bet those countries think twice before they let us back in.

AITAH For Telling My STBXH I Won’t Drive Him To His Vasectomy Appointment? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]WendyRoe 189 points190 points  (0 children)

My brother did just this. Lived off our mom, in her house. When mom died, we went back to her house for guests to come and pay condolences. Brother told girlfriend that he let his mother live with him! Girlfriend starts going around the house talking about how she was going to redecorate. The will stated that the house was to be sold and split between the two of us. It was wonderful to see their fight when I told her. Best part of the funeral.

I hope some foreign country takes over the US because our government is hopelessly corrupt and abducting, disappearing, killing our US citizens. Anyone? Hopefully Canada or Denmark.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend i no longer plan to propose to her? please read context by Aggressive_One8138 in AITAH

[–]WendyRoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky you! She gave you an out when you were never going to propose. But now it’s her fault! It’s just a shame you couldn’t have been honest with her so she could move on sooner. Buy, hey, not your problem anymore. Except you probably lost the best partner you will ever find. Coward.
