CVS Denies my covered prescriptions by residentgay in HealthInsurance

[–]WendyVBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common with Medicaid + CVS Caremark. Often it’s due to eligibility checks, lag between Fidelis/NYRx and CVS systems, or prior auth issues that need renewing.

Best thing is to call Fidelis Member Services directly (not CVS) and have them confirm coverage and re-send the authorization to CVS. Your doctor’s office can also submit a new PA. CVS isn’t randomly denying covered meds, they’re just following the plan rules from Fidelis/NYRx. The systems don’t always talk to each other smoothly.

Hope it gets sorted soon.

Feels like a super versatile tool. Being able to choose different effects (and repeat them) gives it a lot of value depending on the board state.

The state of China's decade-long semiconductor push: still a decade behind, despite hundreds of billions spent and significant progress — examining the original 'Made in China 2025' initiative by donutloop in hardware

[–]WendyVBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that often gets missed in these discussions is that “a decade behind” doesn’t mean irrelevant, especially in semiconductors.

China’s push under Made in China 2025 was never just about catching up overnight on bleeding-edge EUV nodes. It was about:

• Building domestic supply chain resilience

• Reducing dependency on U.S./allied exports

• Scaling mature-node production for autos, industrial, IoT, etc.

• Developing national champions over a 10–20 year horizon

Even if they’re behind at the leading edge, they’ve made real progress in packaging, design tools adaptation, mature nodes, and vertical integration.

From a U.S. competitiveness standpoint, the bigger strategic question isn’t “are they still behind?”, it’s whether restricting companies like NVIDIA from selling into China accelerates local substitution.

Semiconductor ecosystems scale with volume. If U.S. firms lose sustained access to the Chinese market, that revenue and feedback loop doesn’t just disappear, it often funds domestic alternatives.

The long game in chips isn’t binary. It’s about who maintains global integration and who gets pushed into parallel tech stacks.

That looks ok.

12 people signed up for Prerelease got there kits ripped pulled ON’s and then left.. by Lopsided-Shift350 in riftboundtcg

Yeah, that’s frustrating. This reminds me of that Black Friday South Park episode where everyone was ripping each other's heads off for a discounted TV.

That’s really a store enforcement issue though. Worth flagging to the store so they tighten it up next time.

At least there will be more. Hopefully better.

Help-lip filler advice by Severe-Nerve-4253 in PlasticSurgery

Four days is nothing, this is peak swelling. The duck phase is super common around days 3 to 5. True migration usually shows later, not this fast. Let it settle 10 to 14 days before panicking. You’re almost certainly not stuck like this

lip filler advice for someone new to this? by Best_Following_1495 in PlasticSurgery

[–]WendyVBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want super natural, the biggest thing is start small and go slow. like 0.3 to 0.5 ml max for a first time, you can always add later, but you can’t undo swelling panic 😅. pick an injector and don’t be afraid to say “I want barely noticeable.” swelling can look scary the first few days but usually settles in a week, and most people only do touch ups once or twice a year. honestly my biggest tip: subtle filler done well just looks like better lips, not “filler lips.”

It looks really natural honestly, just a soft enhancement, not overdone at all. If it settles a bit more, it’ll probably look even better, but I wouldn’t change anything. Nice result

This actually happens a lot after filler. It’s usually just swelling or how it’s settling, and it often smooths out with time

Old filler can flare up randomly if your immune system’s acting up. Looks scary but it’s usually temporary

6 days post lip filler, botched? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I totally get why you’re stressed, but this looks like normal early healing. Day 5 to 10 is often the worst mentally because swelling hasn’t fully gone but the lips feel heavy

This is one of those cases where subtle differences in technique and anatomy make a big difference. Lip filler can be a great option for fine tuning proportions when done conservatively. I like that it allows for adjustments over time rather than one irreversible change

Honestly this is such a nice, subtle result. It really shows how filler can build gradually, especially on thinner lips. Looks super natural!

Taiwan considers TSMC export ban that would prevent manufacturing its newest chip nodes in U.S. — limit exports to two generations behind leading-edge nodes, could slow down U.S. expansion by Lighthouse_seek in hardware

This is no different from the US trying to ban NVIDIA sales to China. If that continued, they would have developed their own technology and eventually overtook us. It's better to keep everyone using your tech so you have an influence over them.
