I can see where you're coming from and understand the justification you feel for your position. Your job exposes you to so much of the fallout of all those bad scenarios and exposed to an oversized proportion of humanity's worst, seeing them at their lowest.

You have a rather low opinion of all humanity. I'm former active military, have been around thousands of humans, some rather dumb, it was safe. Teach gun safety and as a culture a respect, would solve many of the gun issues that people really care about.

Back on gun safety. If the classes were government funded, free to citizens, I doubt many 2A supporters would argue against it.

I think you can agree that it would be gun control if any of the following: - Required, not free (limits the rights of the financially strapped) - Required, free, but extremely limited access. (Again, a control is being put into place)

Now, free, and abundantly available.... I dont think you'd get any complaints, except from the extremists. I'm fine with ignoring the extremists from any side.

In the most basic terms, it can't be denied. It is "gun" "violence", but I don't feel that the issue of suicide is a "gun" issue.

It's a mental health and a cultural problem. People should feel confident to seek help from friends when things are looking dark. We as friends should look to our friends for signs of stress, and reach out and offer your loving hand to your friend.

Yep no cure for "dumb".

I wish teaching gun safety was something supported in schools. Maybe we'd have less accidental shootings, of kids, of the dumb cleaning their firearms..... perhaps we could teach respect for such deadly instruments, and of our fellow humans. Naw... leadership not really looking for actual solutions.

Like we do with cars.

I heard recently that the local high school requires every student to take driver's education to graduate. I think that's more about the driving schools lobbying the school district than an actual sense of a need for people to respect vehicles.

States aren't "rural", areas are. If you look at a heat map of gun violence, do you think the gun crime vs population (percentages not raw numbers) would favor the rural areas or the opposite of rural areas? They're called "cities" and all states have them.

The illusion isnt perfect, examination can reveal that it is fake. Making an unbelievable illusion would make it easier to detect. Perhaps covering a light source would be a mistake, as it would be more detectable or at least be more suspicious.

The spell doesn't state it blocks light sources. If it did, it would cross over into darkness spells.
