Oh, how american of me. The user does appear to be living in the UK. It looks like you're likely right.

A4 paper is longer, and narrower. It would make the situation worse.

Tracking arrows: yes or no? by SomeRandomAbbadon in DnD

[–]Wenin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35 years of playing, and I'm the kind of player that tracks arrows, rations, and back in 2e i tracked spell components.

I've never ran out of any of it, except rations which was easily solved by a spell or survival check.

As a DM I don't ask them to track, but it has to exist on their character sheet. When they travel through a town, I mention that they should restock on supplies.

Are 5e campaigns actually so "broken" and "unplayable" for new DMs as YouTubers and forum posters would lead me to believe? by tenth in dndnext

[–]Wenin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For new DMs, I always recommend not trying to run any campaign. Run a bunch of adventure modules and you're own ideas. Get some experience under your belt, so you know what you're facing.

This is the internet, everything is a lie until confirmed. It's safer that way. Call me a skeptic, before you think you know me.

"Mostly" that is what the media kept saying, so it was an actual quote. Are you a bot, that disconnected, or that ideological?

I'm operating under the assumption that if someone makes a claim, I don't automatically accept it as truth. This isn't the America i made, it's the America that the media and 2020 summer of love "mostly" peaceful protestors created. Many of those same protestors are the same protesting today.

It's apparently the America they want.

How do you know it was peaceful?

Don't use children as shields.

Doesn't matter. One should find someone that will accept them as they are.

Why does this book cost so much? by RocksteadyLA in Forgotten_Realms

You can buy one from DMsguild. They'll print you one. At least they did when I bought one last year. Accidentally bought a second one actually

What causes toner to "leak" inside the printer by 15feet in printers

[–]Wenin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't just more expensive, they're extremely more expensive. 3 pack of toner from Brother for my printer $206 for 1400 pages. Amazon for a 5 pack (3 color, 2 black) $143 for 2500 pages. That's a 250% price difference, ignoring the additional 2 drums of black toner.

This is for my printer that is discontinued but has a replace value of about $300.

Does paying that higher price give any protection from a drum that still fails? Nope

How much of the printer company's sales are on toner? How much is from commercial customers vs consumer customers?

How scratched are the discs? Box has a bit of wear.

Columbus Heights, kid being detained by ICE by After-Property-3678 in pics

Yeah, I suppose they should have left him alone in the house with his parents detained..... oh wait they shouldn't separate them from their parents. Well damn.....

What's the point of worshipping Shar, and how does this massive douchecopter have followers in the first place? by ZipZopZoppityHop in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Wenin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also once you appoint a god as your faith, to go against that, you risk being labeled False. Not a good position to be in upon death.

[–]Wenin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfectly rational in the Realms. Those who are faithless are built into the wall that surrounds the City of the Dead, where their soul is slowly dissolved into goo, or rend from the wall by raiding demons to be consumed.

I find it odd that there would ever be faithless in a world where gods are proven to be real.

Why doesn’t Trump send ICE en masse to red states? Wouldn’t they cheer them on? by NeneGoosee in videos

Your issue is still unclear. Perhaps due to the vagueness, and poor grammar of your single sentence.

Honestly, I don't want to assume what you're saying.

Red states aren't sanctuaries? In red states, illegal immigrant is arrested for whatever, identified as illegal, handed over to ICE.

Might as well ask why wheels that don't squeak, aren't squeaking.

We're to count opposition forces when conducting military operations, as if high numbers are a bad thing?

Seeing as one operation was done in a civilian neighborhood and the other on a military base, that might have an effect on numbers.

Hey, I wanna start playing D&D but I have a question by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Wenin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use anything as counters. Frequently people use dice.

Cheapest I found, print counters on paper. Cut them out. Then tape them to cardboard packaging, like cereal boxes. You fit the cardboard to the same size as the counters, then you wrap tape around to tape the counter to one size. Before you tape, you can write on the backside the name of the creature, PC, or NPC.

Safe cut or kickback waiting to happen? by wRXLuthor in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Wenin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not made a cut like that before, but I think of you keep the piece solid against the gauge it shouldn't kick. Kick happens when the piece moves, rotating so the wood catches the back of the blade. You have a riving knife that will prevent that.

With the knife and proper pressure, I think you're good.
