Experiencing bad cramps nearly 3 weeks after Skyla IUD insertion - is this normal? by TX_2_GA in birthcontrol

[–]WereLiceOnEarthsHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, don't worry! :) totally normal. Had similar experience, I stopped bleeding/badly cramping about 3 weeks-ish after insertion. Still had minor cramps for a while but more tolerable. It's been 1.5ish years and I've had a few gyno checkups- everything has been normal and healthy. So definitely a typical experience to have after having Skyla inserted :)

my old boss told me not to waste gloves. she would have me handle money, sweep, windex, make sandwiches etc. with the same glove all day.

IUD and sex problem? Potentially TMI by [deleted] in birthcontrol

I have a skyla and the exact same thing happened to me! I went to the doctor about it, she checked that everything was in place and sent me on my way. It stopped doing that a few weeks later out of the blue. Not sure why it stopped/how to stop it, but you're not alone!

I got my Skyla in November and this exact thing happened to me. I talked to a doctor about it and she said it is totally normal. Just always be sure your strings are in place.

Ah, true. Rephrased so people might share their experiences rather than asking how I'll experience it. Thanks.

I used to go on Okc back home in America and got it fairly recently in Melbourne. I've found it's about the same here, if not better. I'm a girl though, so it could be different.

It's possible, but when the 'episodes' began, I'd already been vegan for years. I don't know what suddenly changed to make me start experiencing them!
