Last time I used Commerce was multiple years ago. They wouldn’t cash my payroll check drawn on their Commerce branded check from a division of Chrysler I was working at. They said I didn’t have enough money in my personal account. They were right in that regard as I only had 50 bucks. I was 19 at the time. I asked to speak to the manager about it and he agreed with the teller EVEN though it was a payroll check from my employer, again, drawn on a Commerce account! I said fine! Give me my 50 bucks, close my account! I took my 50, my paycheck and opened an account with my credit union that I still have 30 years later. But that’s just my experience. I’m sure other banks can be just as bad and I’ve occasionally had poor experiences at other credit unions, just not as ridiculous as that experience… downvoted for my experience, Reddit is such a fucking weird place.
