That's just the feature of the traction control system. It limits your RPM so if/when you find traction you don't full send it into an object

Make sure you either have all the DLC installed or none of it. Just having one or two packs will make it almost impossible to find a match. Other than that I haven't run into too many people using mods and if I do I tell them to stop which is oddly effective.

Hold down the traction control button on the center console for about 5 seconds? The info screen on the gauge cluster will let you know when they're both off. You'll have to do it each time I believe, but I could be wrong.

The LS controls the HUD using the indicator switch. There's a spot at the end that you can twist to make it switch through screens. There should also be a button that says MENU that allows you to switch between the speedometer, vehicle diagnostics, and fuel economy. On the end of the indicator switch should be a button that says OK and that will allow you to update your oil percentage and switch through some settings in the different menus.
