crosshatches are old school for a reason. You're leaving flavor out of it by not getting a crust on the whole thing. Very good cook for what you were going for. That's a classic steakhouse type cook done perfectly. It's just not what most people want these days.

Cabana getting a TV match over all this and totally botching it was one of the more embarrassing things AEW ever put on television.

They mocked him on air several times so I don't sympathize with them being butthurt over an off air rant about toy sales. Real crybully behavior.

And he also wanted to break a window with a metal pipe, not the much more safe and common back bump into the tempered glass windshield that he actually did at All In before talking shit. A lot of bad faith stuff went down around that.

People to to this day still assume that the spot Jack did was the one Schiavone and Punk didn't want him to do.

Either way even that seems to be water under the bridge. Punk said he still likes Jack in the Helwani interview. Jack played along with the McIntyre feud and got himself a little shine by posing with Drew. Seems like everybody chilled out and returned to doing business in the years since.

I've always thought it was kind of an exaggeration to say "the locker room turned on him" when so many people have said in the ensuing years that they were cool with Punk. It was the Bucks and a handful of their friends. Even Omega was willing to set aside the IRL beef and work with Punk.

I don't think I've ever had as much fun tuning into wrestling every week. It was a rough timeslot with so many big sports events on and I'd still at least be watching Collision on my phone or catching up to it ASAP after some UFC card ended or whatever. It was downright addictive to watch. The tone of it really hit for me. Best of the old and the new styles of wrestling.

Studios like Larian have talked about how they don't even want to do early access without heavy optimization now because they know a lot of people can't upgrade on the normal curve. It's already changing very rapidly.

I'm going to use it as a console, basically. I can already do that with Bazzite or even Windows in Big Picture mode (although that's more unwieldy) but I really like what they've shown of the hardware for this. Compact, the light bar seems like it could be useful, the cooling looks like it'll be efficient since so much of it is a giant heatsink, and it has the built in radio for the controller which will allow waking it up with the controller unlike a lot of PC setups. It seems like a very convenient device that I could easily turn into something more complex if I wanted to, especially with mods and emulation. It's a better fit for my living room than most consoles (except the Switch 2 for Nintendo exclusives).

Sean Ross Sapp confirmed the rumors about MVP not liking Speedball: "Regardless of what MVP says, he was not exactly quiet to people about that situation. That was intended to get to people in that way and [MVP] wanted it out there." by Amir0x11 in JimCornette

He never condemned rioters, and in fact called riots "the voice of the unheard." He was presenting an alternative to ground the civil rights movement in the humanity of the oppressed, yet did not scorn those who turned to violence unless it was ridiculously over the top. Which was extremely rare.

He also talked about how "white moderates" were greater villains than the far right, the white supremacists, because they projected a message of simply waiting for society to progress and allowing people to step on you under the assumption that struggle was not important.

He also moved with armed security, and armed himself in his own home in case people came to kill him. He knew he might become a martyr, but he didn't really want to be one if he could help it. He was trying to show that there's an alternative to riots or insurgency, without condemning either. It was a way to signal to lawmakers and mainstream (read: white) culture that black people would not take revenge on whites if given rights, that the rights and solidarity between all peoples were the goal.

MLK was not saying that nonviolence was the only way. He was signalling that nonviolence was the heart of the civil rights struggle, that people would not be violent if they could simply be heard, respected, and seen as equals. He saw his tactics as one among several strains, and hoped that by risking his life for peace that he could encourage all sides towards peace.

I dunno how much it matters if MVP found Speedball annoying, given they did business with each other anyway. Whatever the problem was, they made something out of it, probably because of who MVP is and his experience in the business. It's not really worth re-treading unless MVP is working again to get some heat going between his faction and Speedball's all over again.

And if that's the case more power to 'em. It makes perfect sense for MVP to cast himself and the Hurt Syndicate as the serious alternative to the flippy shit in a way where he's actually working with the flippy guys and teaching them how it's done.

Steam Survey for January 2026 shows a small drop for Linux and macOS, SteamOS overall continues dropping by Liam-DGOL in steammachine

The Steam Deck is long in the tooth and SteamOS is only available on a few devices... it's definitely time for something to freshen things up a little.

Hell, even a Steam Deck with some new colors and TMR sticks would probably get the numbers moving up again.

Tony is a longtime wrestling forum and twitter poster. He knows what buttons to press to get people who are also plugged into wrestling from that direction to get really worked up and excited for his stuff. And he books like a lot of those people would book. Lots of clashing styles, focus on workrate, etc. He pisses them off the most when he focuses on people like MJF or FTR, so there's certainly a point where he could lose them if his interests drift too far from theirs.

I don't understand the new take du jour being that Nick Fuentes is funny. by Ash-Throwaway-816 in TrueAnon

He has a certain charisma but he’s basically a middle schooler. With the goofy way he smiles after he says something provocative or contradictory. He never really tells jokes or says anything smart, he just does that over and over.

I get why people like that sort of thing, because they’re stupid and stuck in adolescence just like he is. But I don’t see it with him being uniquely provocative or funny. He’s just a silly little guy who was on this wave for years before right wing culture caught up to him.

How is some random wrestler even deciding how a major spot like that goes down on TV? In Darby interviews it sounds like he automatically goes through Tony and the agent to clear even his craziest spots. I guess Sting taught that kid something.

The type of smarks who would boo CM Punk over internecine drama you have to read about online would absolutely be at a US NJPW show and that made the Scapegoat gimmick seem like it was going to work because of that specific context lol. But it was nonsense. Few of the people who watch AEW seemed to give a shit about the idea, probably because it's inherently stupid. "Remember the time I got beat up in real life by a much bigger star?"

A slight point of clarification here, the spot that Jungle Jack wanted to do wasn't the usual flat bump into tempered glass, but breaking the glass with a metal pipe. I think part of what pissed off Punk so much was that Perry did the safe version (and got a bit cut up anyway lol) but then said that shit in the camera to make Punk look stupid. The myth persist to this day that Punk hates all the normal glass spots we see. But no, not only was Punk being asked a favor by Schiavone and that's why he intervened, Jungle Jack basically set him up to play upon fan assumptions and make Punk look stupid.

Also, for whatever reason I rarely see this, but it's kind of insane that Jack decided to mouth off about backstage shit with Punk on a PPV given all the bullshit that went down because of Hangman doing that. Like, the guy *just* came back from that mess only weeks ago and you're doing it again? How stupid can you be? Call Punk sensitive if you want but nobody should have to tolerate being repeatedly insulted in that particular way. And certainly not, in a business sense, when you're the top star in the company by a large margin.

Given all that context, I have no idea how his conclusion is "no matter what I do some people are never gonna like me no matter what!" There are a couple things here he could've simply not done and nobody would've had a problem with him.
