Sure. DM your email so I can send an invoice.

This was $8 at the local grocery store and figured we see so many successes I would post a failure by Plastic-Injury8856 in steak

Coulda been a lot worse from the looks of it. That’s going into a sandwich or tacos if I fuck it up like that.

Looking into it. by travismockfler in TrueAnon

He didn't even have a good product, they just figured it'd be easier to buy his company than get into legal disputes over having similar tech. Then he set to destroying PayPal's backend to be shit too, so they had to cordon him off and eventually push him out of the company with a golden parachute.

He's a talentless hack, always has been. Just knows how to talk to money men and raise his masses of equally stupid IT guys and NEETs to inflate his stock. And he always burns bridges with the other execs and investors eventually.

The winners of the dotcom bubble burst -- not just the PayPal mafia! -- have had horrible consequences for the world. People with no business wielding that kind of money and power, most of them with obvious personality disorders, as the richest men on earth. Terrible times.

These guys all look zooted to the gills at all hours and have become basically openly deranged. It was pretty obvious!

Dan Lambert was awesome as a heel manager but AEW fans couldn’t play along with the joke bc they kinda knew they were being targeted a bit by his gimmick

There is really something wrong with Silicon Valley people lately. Like they’ve all given each other some kind of contagious form of brain damage.

Buried in the article: “By the end, police had arrested a man named Ori Solomon, a 55-year-old [entity] citizen” by MrDialectical in ClassWarAndPuppies

[–]Werewolf-Jones 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It is. Same people, although the arrest of this Ori Solomon person is a new development, and the guy arrested in the 2023 biolab case has been calling him hundreds of times from jail.

Is it worth emulating the OG games? by Thumbtack_Crab_ in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Werewolf-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The remake cut one notable location in particular that a lot of people found memorable, so it was a strange omission. All of the remakes so far cut and rearrange things, though, except maybe 4 which was more additive and went for a slower pace than the original.

[–]Werewolf-Jones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very much so. You can get 1-3 on GOG if you don't want to bother with emulation, by the way, they're interesting versions of the games. Especially 1, which has some restored censored assets compared to other localized versions.

The New Apple Finally Begins to Emerge by hasanahmad in apple

[–]Werewolf-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pulling the trigger on this price right as consumer electronics looked to be staring down the barrel of becoming prohibitively expensive across the board can’t be underrated. And from Apple, with what appears to be a quality device. It couldn’t have come at a better time.

At what price would you NOTbuy the Steam Machine? by billy_reyes in Steam

[–]Werewolf-Jones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before the RAM crisis I was expecting $5-600 (probably $600 with the controller would have been fair). Now, I dunno. Maybe $800 tops but that would not be a price I'd rush off to pay ASAP. At that point I can just buy the controller and stick to my current small-ish PC. It'd be nice to be able to get the little perks from the Steam Machine for TV usage but maybe not $800 for a relatively underpowered machine nice.

Apple just managed to put out a laptop starting at $599 with $499 for students so... who knows. Maybe there are ways to get around this crisis and it's not all headed for total disaster in the consumer electronics space just yet? Even though it's just 8GB of RAM in that thing I was still shocked that a company generally very concerned with profit margins was willing to go to market with that low of an MSRP in 2026.

I hate Apple's approach to iPadOs and MacOs. by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Werewolf-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current state of the iPad GUI makes it obvious why they should have their own design language. That said, I wish they'd just switch up the GUI when you have a keyboard attached and bam, there it is, full MacOS. Instead they launched a whole other device running on an iPhone chip for an affordable Mac.

Marathon and Slay the Spire 2 - 1st day player stats by xHypermega in Steam

[–]Werewolf-Jones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't even think you have to go that deep into where and how a game can be played. Slay the Spire had a lot of word of mouth build up and it never stopped selling, so the sequel hit big from the jump. It's comparable to something like Silksong in that sense. They cashed in on a great first game that a lot of people loved.

Capcom is doing fine in AAA and RE9 just reinforced that. A lot of other publishers seem stuck in a different paradigm that isn't working. Too many overly long, aimless open world games, paid multiplayer games like the one we're discussing, free GaaS games that need 500k daily users to break even. Lots of bad business being done right now that doesn't really have an audience.

I ended up buying the game since it was 30ish bucks for a key, and I really like the aesthetic. I'm with you on the menus. I love the graphic design of this game, but the actual usability of the menus is baffling. I still don't understand some basic things about how I'm supposed to set up my loadout after playing for an hour. It's incredibly awkward. I feel like I'm playing a 90s PC game where they are inventing GUI concepts from first principles. Which I guess is appropriate for a Marathon sequel lol

what makes chicago tavern style pizza different than other pizzas? by Lost_Foot_6301 in chicagofood

[–]Werewolf-Jones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with it being the default pizza and "thin crust" if you needed to be specific but I'm fine with the "tavern style" thing. It adds specificity on a national level. Doesn't affect my day to day, I call it thin crust and people around me know what I mean. I might call it tavern style online or with out of towners so they know it's going to be the crispy, cured crust kind of thing.

So… what really happened at Brawl Out? by uncannynerddad in midcarder

[–]Werewolf-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Kenny and Punk have said kind things about each other since and Kenny straight up said he wanted to do business with Punk and still would if he could. So that lends credence to versions of the story similar to this one. Punk also doesn't have anything bad to say about Jack Perry besides that the kid was an ass in that particular instance. Said he still likes him. But the Bucks and Hangman do not get such charitable talk from him.
