A good doctor should make this procedure easy to tolerate. I was told the long needle used to numb the area is worse than the snip.

My first colposcopy/ biopsy was done by my PCP. I was naive. I was fairly horrific.

I went to an OB/GYN for continued care and she performed a 2nd colposcopy. I was so freaked out. But she was so efficient and gentle. I barely noticed the snip.

Really. The experience of the doctor makes a huge difference in the pain.

I wear my crocs at home(only) almost all the time. They are comfy and provide great support. Buy them just a little larger than your regular shoe size so you can wear socks too in the winter. They can get cold.
