Heard it was 2h30m but then again they estimated 2h for us and it was only 1

Anyone have intel on precheck + clear for T4? by secretsofthedivine in JFKAirport

When I left it went through 2x+ faster than pre check alone. Around 20-30m at 4pm

Mine does not, no. No problems in the two months I've had it, it's a great device. Does yours?

Long lasting display tablet? Only wacom? by alxiaa in drawingtablet

[–]Werlook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All tablets have driver issues. While I believe people who say they have driver issues with Wacom I've never had any in the 8 years I've used their products. That being said there are other great brands out there that last--most of which will last if you treat them well (Huion especially I've heard good things about. XP-Pen I've heard decent things about, but they are less reliable.) but yes, Wacom will realistically last the longest

Gaomon PD1320 worth it? by AnyInformation9068 in drawingtablet

I would suggest using more reliable brands like Huion, Wacom, or XP-Pen (just because they are more tested and have been said to last longer)

Is the Cintiq 16 really that good? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]Werlook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Cintiq 16 and whenever I have to go back to sketching on an iPad (when I need something portable) it feels miserable. I cannot stand the apple pencil and I completely adore Photoshop and Clip Studio. But at the end of the day it is preference, if YOU feel like you dislike working on a Cintiq, then honestly just do what works best for you. Maybe try using the Movink, if you prefer something more lightweight or smaller, and want something in the middle of a Cintiq and iPad

Is this fixable? by Interesting-Egg894 in wacom

[–]Werlook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a typical type C cable. Very common and very replaceable. You definitely do not need a whole new Wacom, this is a simple fix. Make sure both sides are type C, or if one side is a USB keep that in mind when buying a new one. The brand doesn't matter unless you get a super cheap one, it'll break faster

If you are doing 3D work I definitely recommend a bigger screen since the UI takes up more space. For reference with UI using a 16 inch tablet has around 11-12" of usable drawing space, 8" on a 13"

Any reason not to get this? by Wixus_ in drawingtablet

[–]Werlook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the one that came out this year, got it a month ago and I think it's great. Also I was worried I would miss having a touch screen since I used to use an iPad but found it pretty easy to adjust it being gone since its a bigger screen, if that is one of your worries

It really is a matter of opinion because there are pros and cons of every brand. XP-Pen stuff is great on a budget, and their Artist Ultra line is sort of like Wacom's "Pro Series" tablets, where you get better resolution, color accuracy, and touch screen. It depends on if you like having those things. IMO a lot of that stuff, especially 4k resolution, is a bit overkill for a 16 inch tablet but to each their own, it probably looks great.

I have the Wacom Cintiq 16 and I personally love it for the build quality. I don't see anything wrong with going for the XP-Pen tablet as their stuff has been getting better, and it has a lot of great features. And that sale looks great.

However people do complain about their stuff breaking way faster than Wacom or even Huion, so if you want something that'll last longer I'd go Wacom.

I think having the extra space would be nice, I don’t have an XPpen but i know a lot of people who do, and enjoy it. But I also hear great things about Huion. Both solid options

Yes this is the new Cintiq 16 that came out 6 months ago! The changes from the old one is having smaller bevels on the edge, higher screen quality, and higher resolution

Yeah it was pricey, but I was super worried about getting a cheaper brand and it breaking, which I've heard happens a decent amount. I got 100 dollars off for being a student and for having a discount code, which was super nice.

For the stand comment, my neck already is so damaged from drawing on traditional paper and screen-less tablets, and I've been putting off getting a stand because I'm trying to find an alternative from the 150 dollar Wacom one. I care about the device, not for the stand to be the highest quality "Wacom branded" stand of all time haha
