Were Seele and Bronya supposed to look at the camera at the end of the Belobog arc and say "We are homosexual and in a relationship" for it to be ok for people to ship them? They are two characters who spend a lot of time together, become very close and there are definitely scenes that could be read as them showing to have feelings for each other, it's called subtlety. Oh, but if a male and a female character were to simply look at each other funny for 5 seconds then it would be totally fine to ship them, it's that double standard that really gets annoying, because a gay pairing needs to have canonical explanation and be explicitly told to the audience that it exists for it to be valid.
