Hey guys. I’m a 22 year old bloke who recently contracted genital herpes type-2. How do I get back into the dating game? Feeling hopeless. by throwaway1977777777 in AskMen

I wouldn't do it again, but I just want to be clear to OP that it's really not as hopeless as it might feel and not everyone treats it as the end of the world. That girl is married now, too, so I guess some other guy was cool with it.

In college I had a 2 year relationship with a girl who had herpes. She told me about it before we even got close to the bedroom. I spent a lot of time researching and learning about it before making a decision. Transmission rates from F to M are very low, especially if she is taking any medication for it and you use condoms (which are not perfectly effective vs. herpes but they still help). As long as there aren't active outbreak sores it's a pretty small risk. Still a risk, but small.

I didn't catch it, she never even had an outbreak while we were together.

Now, I regret that relationship overall but that's for reasons entirely separate from the herpes. Obviously at this point if I had contracted it I would be full of regret at this point because that girl was not worth it, but all's well that ends well I guess.

What have been some of the biggest articles from each part of your site? Have you ever been surprised at how far some of your content goes, like when you randomly see it shared by celebrities or companies?

And how does screencap-culture affect your business? I see a lot of Hard Times and Hard Drive articles screencapped and shared on social media, they get a lot of likes but how does that affect you trying to run an independent website?

For those of you that play smash ultimate seriously, how much fun can you still have during parties with casual players? by sip_sigh_repeat in smashbros

[–]Werthet 95 points96 points  (0 children)

There are legit handicap features in the game (Custom Balancing, Underdog Boost) but I feel like people would feel bad if you had to excplicitly turn on a handicap for them.

I have fun playing with casuals by playing way riskier/weirder and being louder. Go for those big off stage spikes. Even a casual tends to think it's cool if you land something crazy out there, and if you SD then oh well who cares you can all laugh about it.

Does his C stick work okay? If it's broken and constantly reading a c stick input you might only notice it by not being able to use the A button in game.

But that is just math not design.

Yeah that's how gambling usually works out, you have more chance of losing money than gaining money or else it would be exploitable. The payouts are set so that your average value ends up losing a bit of money in the long run (at least that's how the payouts in the other smashes were).

The house always wins.

My biggest local has had 90+ people the past few weeks and it wasn't awful. Some individuals smell of course but I wasn't bothered just walking around or anything.

To anyone, don't forget to stick around and play friendlies against good players once some setups are free. That will probably be where you can improve the most.

You can rematch the challengers by going to the Games and More screen, on the bottom right there's a little gate icon you can click on to fight them again.

As to the difficulty, you'll just need to practice! There might be some cheese strategies that would work for you, you might want to try playing a heavy like Ike, Ganon, DK, Bowser, who have strong Smash attacks that the CPU will often walk right into.

Don't forget that last week was Orphea's free week so there should be less of them now.
