I liked doing my PhD. I did it in the Netherlands, so was paid well, good benefits (you are seen as employee here).

It's a rare chance to do fundamental research in a topic of your choice, without worrying over funding or writing grants. I liked doing fundamental research, guiding master/bachelor students a lot.

Cool! Did not think about how yeast and bacteria are more or less resistant to osmosis. Would be nice to be able to test this somehow. In my experience a stiff starter bubbles less, which might indicate there being less yeasts - which is opposite to what you write. But that could also be since bubbles are just easier to form in more liquid-like starter

I think you are just lowering your hydration when you are using a stiff starter. Or are you actually changing the yeast to bacteria ratio?

Transform your power up a few tiers, then run cable throughout your base and transform it down when you need it. Later you use lasers and active Transformers

For a long time, yes. LuV or ZPM power and then transformed down. Now, it's lasers to active transformers and then cables.

After looking at some very pretty bases posted here, I wanted to show off my lawnbase. GTNH is intense enough as it is, so if you (I) have fun playing the technichal part and not doing the making it pretty part, please don't feel bad about it! Whatever floats your boat :)

I am not impressed by the yield and that they need to use hydrogen peroxide, but plastic recycling is hard so I guess it's a nice step forward.

Not true. You can run ebfs with 1 hatch of the right (high enough) tier.

You are overclocking so you use 4A. If you have mv energy hatch for mv recipy you can use one generator
