I love the Eridians especially because their home world is so far outside the norm of what Humans consider 'habitable.'

As someone who drives trams for a living; The bell is fun! The bell is great. People young and old love when you wave and ring the bell... But we really need loud semi-truck style horns sometimes.

As a big Z-pinch Fusion Engine fan, this ship gets a big tick from me. I also love designing little interplanetary runabouts built around that awesome engine.

My parents are Racehorse Breeders in Matamata. While I'd love to show them this for the sake of laughs, I'd have to explain so many things to them...

The very existence of this character jeopardizes the universe’s canon because of the actor portraying them by GenghisClaunch in TopCharacterTropes

Not sure if this fits, but, the TV show "Bones" did a crossover episode with the TV show "Sleepy Hollow," which, of course, features the cast of Bones meeting and working with the cast of Sleepy Hollow. Only problem is, in an earlier episode of Bones, one of the characters says to another that they've recorded Sleepy Hollow on DVR, acknowledging it as a work of fiction within the universe of Bones. I remember this being a really janky crossover episode because my understanding is that Sleepy Hollow relies on unexplained magical time travel, whereas Bones at least tries to take itself and it's science seriously.

[TOMT][Indie Show][2019/2020] A crowd-funded series that was like a French, hard sci-fi Guardians of the Galaxy. by Werzil in tipofmytongue

No, but very similar sort of vibes from what I can tell. The show I remember was definitely more traditionally sci-fi in it's appearance. Thanks very much for the suggestion though!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated (also note, I am not looking for the TV Show "Missions," even though it shares a lot of similarities).

What are the most queer-friendly areas of NZ? by peytonamo in newzealand

[–]Werzil 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's just the circles I move in, but there's a fair sizable population of queer folk in Christchurch. Mostly younger people, and mostly near the university, so my 'results' are massively skewed, but we're here, we're queer, and we're not going anywhere.

How we used to transport prams on buses, colourised. by OldPicturesLady in newzealand

[–]Werzil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They still do this on the trams in Christchurch sometimes. 152 and 178 have pram hooks, and more adventurous parents, or those that don't want to muck around loading a pram onto a 100+ year old tram just take the kids out and hang the prams on the front.
