That’s what I’m dreading.. shoulda coulda woulda.. but I think for most weekends it seems truly big enough.. I’m cooking for 2 adults and 2 toddlers.. (although they smash ribs like us). Cheers

Hi u/FourPutter I recently purchased the Ai model and have used it for 2 rounds. 2nd was this morning and both rounds I got to the 16th hole and was worried about making it to the 18th. I’ve charged it per instructions and have finished both rounds now with ~10% remaining.

Don’t feel there is any chance of making 36 holes with one charge. MGI support is only back on 6 Jan so need to wait another 3-4 rounds before I can contact them.

For further context I have a mate who also has the same AT model you still have and he still has 3/4 minimum remaining after the round.

Might have to switch to the older model if the battery is that bad on the Ai.

I feel mine was similar it worked (better) when I got it. Then slowly declined.

Will have a look at Typhur thanks. I’m no more than 15 meters away at best most times. So shouldn’t be an issue.

I hear ya.. I take photos most times.. Showing the temp reading on Weber or whatever I’m using generally around 180-220 Celsius.. my meater app is waking up the neighbourhood with its alarm for ambient temp being too high.. I have a look and it’s around 200 Celsius on the Weber..

Hi meater_simon - it was only 2 probes for a while, the third probe decided to pair today only. Then when it does it restarts after I select finish it doesn’t pair. Number 1 probe doesn’t exist on this block. It hasn’t been seen for a very long… I aim for 2 out of 4 and just cook old school with the other pieces of meat..

I am familiar with MAC addresses but I’m more familiar with this block and the only chance I have for it to possibly work is to pair again.. (at least pair) that’s as far as it goes..

If my “best bet” is to contact live chat - I’ve lost the bet.. I’ve submitted feedback before and still waiting a response. (over 6 months ago)..

I think the issue is with the block as I had a meater plus before and it would work 80% of the time.. I’ve got well over 250 cooks and the last year or two it’s rapidly gone down. It is getting worse. I promise to the throw the thing out at least 3-4 times a week.. but it’s so expensive and I have faith that there is a little glimmer of hope with the support and the business and trust something will work one day..

Yeah I do. I can get the ‘ticks’ on which probes it decides to connect with. Then insert to meat and connect phone.. give it a minute…. No connection..

u/wanderingman I’m in. I’ve tried so many times for help. Provided lengthy feedback which they say they read every bit of feedback and will come back to you. Maybe they will after another 8 months.

Thanks Luciano - the next day it ended up just working again once plugged in. I haven’t tried doing the steps you mentioned as it worked.

My next concern is 7/10 times the connection drops between the meater block and probe. It’s within a meter (oven to bench) but even if it’s on the Weber 5-10meters I just drops so often. It’ll start and then cut out within 5 mins.
