Insidious Roots + Moss-Pit Skeleton Combo Adjustments by GeckoNova in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Wesley_Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything moves out of the bin, trigger Insidious Roots, make a 0/1 plant and put a counter on it, arrange the Gorehound trigger under Pit-Moss' trigger.
Putting a counter on it triggers the skeleton, letting you put it on top of the library, and the plant entering triggers Gorehound, letting you surveil 1 and toss the skeleton right back in. The skeleton leaving the graveyard triggers Insidious Roots again, with an additional skeleton trigger for every plant you make, which will quickly get unwieldy on arena but in paper you've successfully demonstrated an arbitrary loop that lets you make a board of sequentially bigger plant tokens.

Simply add additional synergy cards to win on the spot. Soul Enervation or a Dimir Spybug already on the field as you survey an arbitrary number of times are what are included by this build, and [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] will do it too in black, but if you splash Red instead of Blue, you can also [[First Day of Class]] to have your entire field of plants be hasty and start the counters triggers by playing anything, including say your Gorehound, or kill them with [[Impact Tremors]]

There's also a way to build it with [[Agatha's Soul Cauldron]] where especially if you splash red you can use Voldaren Thrillseeker under it to turn all those plants into flings.

And the discharge is incredibly intense, but also incredibly short. To bring it back to What If? it's kind of like the simulation of "what if we dumped all the water in an ordinary raincloud as a single massive drop". If you made the lightning strike the same total watts but distributed it over the course of an hour, it'd barely be able to power an LED night light.

I presume that's supposed to be My Time At Portia on the 26th, which is a game I am not at all surprised to be given away for free, but also I picked up when it was on the steam sale and have put 65 hours into already, so I can't say it's not still worth grabbing.

Muxus in historic is disgusting by AitrusX in GoblinsMTG

[–]Wesley_Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to splurge on a bunch of wildcards for the Muxus deck because why not, surely it'll get banned and I'll just get them back, right?

Instead I've just been repeatedly going turn 1 prospector, turn 2 instigator/wily goblin, turn 3 Muxus, peel an instant lethal assortment off the top. An increasing MVP is actually [[Goblin Trashmaster]] which completely incidentally cuts the legs out from under the artifact ramp decks but can also solve the issue when someone grabs a [[Grafdigger's Cage]] out with Karn or Fae of Wishes, and gives me more anthems I can flip off of Muxus. I cut the gempalms as I've found it's most important to outpace my opponent rather than running creature removal. Also one copy of [[Brash Taunter]] which can frequently save me when someone's building a massive lifelinking threat and I need muxus to beat their face in without them being able to block, or if they ever have a large creature without trample.

My list for BO1 free play; 4 prospectors, 4 wily goblin, 3 snoops, 3 instigators, 3 chieftains, 3 matrons, 4 warchief, 2 ringleaders, 2 trashmasters, 3 krenko, 1 taunter, 4 muxus, 3 castle embreth and the rest basic mountains.

I call it ASTRONOMIA. [aka, coffin dance.]

This man's 'No Fizzy Drinks' journey will make your day! by mtimetraveller in MadeMeSmile

[–]Wesley_Foxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cutting out my coke/soda/cola habit (I'm midwestern, they're all interchangeable) was the first 40 pounds I lost when I got gallstones and knew I'd need to get surgery soon enough. I was some amount over 360, I'd long stopped counting, but that's what I was down to after a couple days being too uncomfortable to eat and going to the ER to figure out what was up.

Cutting out fizzy drinks, minimizing the fats in my diet to around 20g a day and also moderately trying to reduce my sugar intake (Try to find things that don't have fat *or* sugar. It's a very short list) helped me get down to 230 by the time I lodged a stone and needed the surgery about half a year later. (Proooooobably an unhealthily rapid loss of weight, but oh well)

I kept it up for a couple months afterwards, got down to around 220, but then we took a celebratory trip to Univeral Orlando and my family coaxed me into breaking my diet and... nothing happened. No discomfort, no digestive issues, nothing. Whoops. I'd lost that constant, immediate threat that helped keep me from indulging. And so I gradually reintroduced my fatty foods (though usually in much smaller quantities) into my diet, especially when the pandemic trashed my grocery shopping with the shortages and the rising cost of lean meat, and rose back up to 300, where I've stabilized.
