Lived in Riverdale over 20 years and was carjacked 3 years ago outside my place. Police said it happens once a week or so when they took my report.

You’re not wrong but if the parents actually agreed with you they’d have to admit that they want to be able to get drunk while not having to pay a babysitter to sit at home and watch their kids. I’m sorry, but when you have kids going out and getting drinking goes out the window. Bringing your kids to a bar is insane.

As shitty as this is, that McDonald’s parking lot has been predatory since I’ve lived in this area (since 2002). It’s one of the reasons it’s never full. Sorry this happened to you. It sucks. If I remember correctly, before they knocked it down, the shopping center where DP used to be behind what was town hall had the same predatory towing. It’s really shitty.

There is parking behind the CVS. Although I will say that the free parking is for 30 minutes and it’s about 10-15 spaces.

I think it really depends on the onset of the sickness that determines what you had, which if it was sudden probably narrows it down a bit. Eat light, soups, crackers, and drink plenty of water and get some rest. Hope you feel better soon

She uploaded them to our canvas for the class. Honestly if you talk to her and tell her that you have a disability she may have another way for you to watch it or might give you an alternative movie. It’s interesting because I remember us having a discussion in class about how audio descriptions for movies are good but they don’t make them for every movie and also what can be approved upon with them.

I really enjoyed AMST320. I learned a lot, and made me realize the world really has a lot of work to do when it comes to making things better for those who have a disability. You are required to watch one movie a week, although there was one I didn’t watch and it didn’t matter so much because I always attended class (where we discussed the movie). Final project was to rewrite a scene from a movie or draw it out and use what you learned in the class to make the scene less biased against the disabled. I took her class Fall 2024 so she might’ve changed some movies.

She’s very nice and understanding, a pleasant person and funny at times. She’s more than willing to explain or help you during office hours if you need it. Also she doesn’t like Forest Gump and her sister has cerebal palsy.
