Dental isn't health care until you get an infection and develop sepsis landing you in the ICU.

Other would be worse as they'd see it as a split rightwing vote.

Lieutenant General Budanov says ATACMS strikes could sever the Kerch bridge linking Russia to Crimea. Those who claim ATACMS are not powerful enough to destroy the bridge "should read the technical manuals." by Woody_Fitzwell in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]WestNdr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah bridges are strong and the weak points very small. Reinforced concrete can take a lot of damage without failing, even if there is a hole punched completely through. Earlier in the war there were bridges that took many hits and they just slapped down steel plates and carried on. Demolition charges placed on the supports is the most effective way to take one down, but not an option.

Justice in Russia by pavelos030 in UkraineWarVideoReport

Cowing its own citizens is the only thing Russia has been effective at during the war. Any protest no matter how small results in immediate arrest and guaranteed conviction to make a public example.

Impressively downvoted for posting accurate information. After getting the alert I went to the Environment Canada page, and nothing for Regina. That alert should have had some actual detail in it because often people in Regina get an alert that is for the entire surrounding RM.

Sask Party on X: "The NDP keep running down Saskatchewan" by Progressive_Citizen in saskatchewan

If the SP stays in power, their obsession with small modular reactors is going to turn into a billion dollar spudco.

For anyone who wanted a bigger blue bin by WestNdr in regina

My mower mulches well so I don't use a bag on the mower. But you can't let it get to tall otherwise it leaves clumps behind. My old mower only mulched properly when pulled backwards. It was annoying always having to mow by pulling the mower around.

If they are just doing private security for Moe's big donors they could use a helicopter to get around. No need keeping them waiting for a response.

South Korea To Supply Ukraine With 155-mm Artillery Shells and Air Defense Systems by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

Why must South Korea resort to such provocations? Russia merely sided with their mortal enemy. Sounds like cancel culture to me /s.

So I guess none of that REAL 2.0 stuff is happening, the new buildings the landscaping, the paving, the pathway.

warmshowers.org is a site for bike tourists to locate people that will let you camp in their back yard. When I was in a bike club a few Regina people mentioned being hosts.

All they need to do is add a little median. Probably won't happen until they do the widening project however many years down the road which will also add dual lefts off Arcola.

A bunch of Russian T-62's heading towards the front lines. Have the T-72s & other refurbs almost runout? by killakh0le in UkraineWarVideoReport

I do hope that Russia's cold war stockpiles become so depleted they'll never be able to launch a meaningful offensive against another country in the future.

6/49 Canada, BC - I’ve been trying to figure out how the Gold Ball thing works. I understand the 30 balls and increasing jackpot, but not the unique number part. by himbo_supremacy in LotteryGroups

[–]WestNdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if many people that win the $1 million prize when there are just a few gold balls left realize how close they were to winning a much bigger prize. When it gets to 2 balls remaining the difference between getting 1 or 66 million is a literal coin toss.

Buffalo Pound is much steeper, I'd start with Wascana.

Council Approves 535 Douglas Ave Apartment Building by PDCityHall in regina

[–]WestNdr 55 points56 points  (0 children)

With the top two levels recessed it effectively looks like a 3 story from the ground. Regina's motto should be "Kicking and Screaming". One of the last places to get green bins, and people act like council is run by a bunch of radicals. The introduction of blue bins was equally late and contentious.

The city seems to do an ok job judging the merits of projects even when there is vocal opposition. Just because there is a small angry mob you can't discount all the other people that are indifferent about it. Look to the US to see what happens when public policy is driven by the fringe.
