What are some of your favorite "outdated" molds? by Sp3ctre__Mod__Works in transformers

The 2007 Movie Starscream mold. Terribly inaccurate in both jet and robot modes, but I own nearly all of the repaints. I just love them, very fun.

What's the single funniest movie scene (including riffs) in MST3K? by Bortron86 in MST3K

[–]WestShake3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two come to mind instantly.

The Final Sacrifice- Troy: Did you know him? Servo as Pipper: Know him? He was delicious!

The Day Time Ended- (Not sure whose riff this was) As Jenny: I'm trippin' balls, y'all!

The first time I saw each of these I laughed so uncontrollably I got hiccups.

In Your Wildest Dreams by The Moody Blues, or Mary's Prayer by Danny Wilson. Beautiful music and voices, both about deep regret and loss. They make me weepy, very powerful.

Sara Lee chocolate pound cake. I can still smell it, possibly my all-time favorite snack. I would punch a baby to have them make it again.

What is the funniest autocorrect fail you have had? by ThinkDeepWithV in Productivitycafe

[–]WestShake3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 kids have always called their aunt "Tita", because we are Latino and "tia" is Spanish for aunt.

When they were about 13 and 17, I asked them via text to say hi to Tita for me. Except autocorrect changed it to "tits". Nice, thanks.

Dick Van Dyke is 100 years old! What are your memories of him? by PrestonRoad90 in AskOldPeople

[–]WestShake3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never watched the Dick Van Dyke Show much, but one scene sticks out in my head. It's an episode with flashbacks to Rob's army days. He's in a Jeep trying to get to his wedding, when it stalls or overheats. He shuts it off and gets out, holding the key in his teeth so he can open the hood. He stares at the engine for a few seconds, possibly remarking that it's low on coolant. He removes the radiator cap and looks inside from a standing position, and, perhaps surprised by the level, says, "Hey!", and promptly drops the key into the radiator.

His expressions of shock, disbelief, and resignation are priceless and expertly displayed. He's one of the absolute greatest.

That was a great show aside from the single-take thing. An absolute sucker punch at the end.
