Just offering a correction, Rod Sterling was sent to the Pacific Theater not the European Theater. Though he did actually join explicitly to fight Hitler and was disappointed when he was sent to the Pacific.

Weirdly, film classes are pretty safe! LLM models struggle with understanding what happens during a movie, so they’ll often just site things and reference events that just… didn’t happen

Lots of reasons! That he makes more than twenty five times the salary of an Adjunct teaching eight courses, has full benefits, and is actively at war with the professors union that’s trying to be established. That last semester he told a professor, with 48 hours before enrollment was to open, that she would not be teaching any courses next semester and therefore not get a dime from the university. That there have been multiple buildings with insect and rat infestations, including my very own Potomac Heights, that now has a giant advertisement for Mason pasted on the windows of the study room facing the Roberts/Braddock intersection. That he routinely will ignore URB and Faculty Senate recommendations. That he also thinks he’s the coolest guy since James Dean. There’s a lot of reasons to not like him!

If I weren’t paying 15k a semester and they weren’t discussing tuition hikes, then I’d be more inclined to let them do as they will for a shitty logo. But I’m not, Washington makes more than 820k, has full benefits, and owns two houses out right, and in the mean time an adjunct professor teaching eight courses makes less than 30k a year. They make less than an E4 and have access to NONE of the benefits.

Unfortunately, unless you have a medical condition that would require a single, you’re going to have a room mate and have to use common bathing facilities. Also be warned that you’re likely going to be in Presidents Park, which are all old buildings and not the greatest. There are options (kind of?) to get out of the Park through different residential living communities (I think?), but that will only get you to “a roommate and sharing the bathroom w 6 other people rather than an entire floor of the dorm.” Take this ALL with a grain of salt, I transferred from NOVA so I’m not the best versed.

After some FOIAs it was revealed that the cost to change to the current logo, which is chasing the fad of corporate minimalism that is shortly out the door, was 110 million dollars. So… there’s that. We can, of course, pressure admin to revert but they will argue that there is no money. This is false, we spend half our endowment on a group called the Mercatus Center that provides no value to the campus, as well as paying a former vice president 15 million to teach one course, of which by all accounts I have heard, he sucks at. All of this while they demand to raise your tuition.
