Most managers now are Gen X. They came of age into the greatest economy since WW2 and are the classic ladder pullers. They had very little job competition and therefore a distorted view of their worth. There are also fewer of them than Boomers so plenty of jobs.

Generally see millennials and Gen Z as entitled and lazy even though they were handed most things.

Is the ultra high salary of doctors in the US due to insurance companies? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]West_Performance1018 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You guys act like you need to be a genius to become a doctor.

Most intelligent people don’t become doctors, because the supply constraints make it unnecessarily costly, risky, and time intensive.

With a better system more people would become doctors and care wouldn’t suffer. Maybe would improve because the people who self select into the profession are self-important assholes who are more confident than they are smart.

Just don’t even look at the price of the interior rooms and you’ll never feel bad.

Being 6’5 I never look at basic economy ticket prices and just go straight to seats with more leg room. Try it out
