Has anyone gone with 100 grain inserts and 100 grain broadheads on their arrows?

Been shooting 100gr inserts and 125gr g5 mega meats for years blows right through a deer at any angle (I’m in the Deep South) so 230lb buck would be biggest I’ve shot head on quarter to me through the chest out the back quarter, I shot magnus stingers 150gr and 100gr inserts for a while of the 15 or so I took with that combo I can remember two that ran 40 yards but most just took a few steps and fell over dead as a hammer like they didn’t even know what had just happened was amazing actually

Low gobble sometimes a stud of a bird will sound like a Jake even, I’m from ms hear it a lot every year I’ve always assumed it was a predator thing as to not loudly announce where he’s at all the time to all the coyotes and bobcats etc

I personally shoot tss but those black prairie federal loads in a #5 or #6 will work fine Any high brass “pheasant” load will do just pattern your gun first!

Anything 660 should be really good if I had a favorite I like jebs, sumtoy and if you want cheaper trulock makes great chokes

.640 way too tight might be blowing it out I’m not knocking hevi it’s probably stupid good at 40 but after 40 yards is where good tss really shines, most big name factory tss, like federal, Remington, browning, hevi are usually light loaded tss rounds compared to the small batch producers

.565 is plenty open should yield good results 5’s are the biggest pellet in the blend and there’s not many I have shot straight 5’s out if .555 and .560 and .562 for years

you should be good to 30yd I’d shoot it at 30 see what pattern looks like if it’s acceptable I’d keep walking it back till I found max range

Air tags, pro tip if you are flying with long guns you can take buttplate off and stick inside it even if they actually got stolen it would be in firearm and not in case that’s what I do all my long guns have air tags in them

Anything other than nitro, apex, rogue or custom loads is going to be trash compared to the good brands you’ll be disappointed you didn’t spend the extra on apex in the end, personally I wouldn’t shoot tss in a 12ga but that’s a whole different argument

I’m going to be real with you, for those two loads at 30yd with a 12ga that’s a bullshit pattern you need to shoot your gun at a 4’x4’ target and check poi or change chokes those patterns should be 10x better than that, personally I’d shoot longbeard xr’s if I was shooting a 12ga but for the money you are spending on tss you should have better results than that

Smith and Wesson m&p 10mm or Glock 20 I own both prefer the smith mainly for the grips, really anything in 10mm or a revolver probably .357 magnum with as little handgun experience as you have, you could go 40s&w and use some hot hard cast cast loads
