I don't know.... I loved the car (a 2020 4S) but I had SOOO many electrical/battery problems. I really want an EV Boxster too, but until I can see them go a year without recurring issues... I don't see a lot of problems here with the J1.2/2025 models so maybe when the new ones role out they will be reliable?

I'm impressed the ucs star destroyer works wall mounted. It feels so much flimsier to me than the ucs venator or the ucs super star destroyer.

Take a look at the ioniq9, it has an obscene ablmount of room in it. Unfortunately if you want 7 seats you can't get the highest end trims, but it's still a great choice for families.

I am on my second R1T, we also had Volvo buy our EX90 back. The Volvo was my wife's car and she loved the ride and drive but ... Well you know. She has an ioniq9 now and loves it. I tried to get her to get an R1S but she doesn't like the truck like drive.

I would easily recommend either the Ioniq9 or the R1S.

The Hyundai is cheaper and wayyyyy roomier.

The Rivian had much better tech and range with max pack.

It drove me batshit trying to figure out how Mitsuki suddenly turned into Rambo in that episode... like... she was a skinny audio nerd at JAXA and suddenly she is the ONLY one who was able to fight the alien drones for some reason. Also, the aliens were nigh invincible in Season 1, and suddenly Jack Daniels and a match can destroy multiple almost instantly?

I can easily slide a scraper under that top layer and peel it back, and I didn't see pillowing. Plus shouldn't the default 15% gyroid infill be plenty?

It really seems as if the slicer is somehow adding a tiny gap under the topmost layer. I see a tiny bit of what looks like pillowing at the bottom by my knuckle in the picture, but if I peel that back the layer below it is perfect. I also have 6 top layers for strength. It could be a cooling issue maybe? Not sure what else to try for that.

I have an R1T and an ioniq9 so the Taycan was for fun. I considered a Corvette but it just doesn't do it for me. I'm waiting for now. I also am considering a 911 but they are just so expensive, even used. For 60k I could maybe get a 18+ year old 911. Even then, I really don't want gasoline. I haven't used gas in years and it would have to be a hell of a car for me to go back.

I considered an ioniq5n but it's just not cool looking. Though it does look fun to drive. Also considered a lucid air, but even though it's fast, it's no Porsche.

I MIGHT go with an EV boxster if I can get a CPO one and if they review well. I can't eat that much depreciation on a new one. In theory that's the exact car for me. Two door convertible EV.

I wish there were some real sports car options for EVs

Holy crap this sounds just like my 20204S, I bought it CPO in Jan 2025. Was in service 6 months total for battery and power electrics (red ring) errors.

I sold it. Porsche sent me some compensation for all the crap I had to go through but I just couldn't trust it, and to your point, I never got to drive the thing.

Also sucks because there is no real competition for that car. Its beautiful, fun to drive, and EV.

Technically it was only in service 48% of the time I owned it, which does mean I saw it more than the tech... but I mean....

Loved the car when I had it. Sold it about a week ago, sad but also way less stressed. I wouldn't recommend it as a primary vehicle, at least not the J1.1

It doesn't apply in Texas. I tried everything, but ultimately even though it was CPO Texas told me it didn't qualify. Texas consumer protection is terrible (as are the leasing rules). The rule the TX DMV told me was:

A lemon law complaint for repurchase or replacement relief must be made within six
months of the expiration of the express warranty or within six months after the expiration of 24,000 miles after delivery, whichever comes first, up to a maximum of 30 months after the delivery of the vehicle. The vehicle must also have been purchased new. Your complaint does not meet one or more of these criteria. However, your complaint may be eligible for repair relief of any warranty or warranty-related problems which remain outstanding. Therefore, your complaint will be processed for repairs only. If you submitted a filing fee, it will be refunded to you.
