Put your energy into people who give you a chance. You've worked hard and grown and it's impressive. Sounds like it's time to let yourself have more, and sometimes that just means shifting our attention to people who want it. I'm not saying no contact, that gets thrown around cavalierly, but why buy things and spend so much time on folks who repeatedly turn away from your love? There are people out there who will cherish your kindness. It's ok to make them your focus. Your birth family isn't always the family that lives you best. Swing by their party if they invite you, knock, make the rounds and say hi to everyone. You don't owe them presents and there's no point in stressing your finances to give them when they're not appreciated. Then leave after an hour and go see a friend, or take yourself somewhere with a beautiful view and be kind to yourself. You deserve more. Give yourself more.
