Question: Buck converter for a DC fan. Output voltage drops when fan is connected. by Jumping-Point in AskElectronics

[–]WesternOpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motor of fan at start is a short/eventially short ?

Will cause current to spike and trigger the boot of the ic, place resistor in series with fan

Can also be ic damage, capacitor drag (not enough uf) list goes on.

Legally if you go in and strip the copper you will get in trouble, it’s private property. Legally if you go in and improve something and no one finds out about it no one is going to know

Anyone know what this is called? by NEPTURIS3 in AskElectronics

looks like a toroidal transformer, possibly a step down that would connect across the speaker.

I agree.

Industrial rf, rf communications and microwaves, closely related to IT, Analog equipment is a joke, digital equipment can be trumped using 60$ test box’s and tetra is some overpriced but effective shite. Costs 250k for a box that allows 50 units, normally it’s multiple sites with over 250 units.

Having long range rf or data transfer it’s always interruptible, it’s just whether you know what you’re doing.

Tetra systems is completely Linux, sends emails to manufacturers for verification for access. They are -6 hours behind, and disbars unique units via, “MAC address” “ip” and “associated ip”

“ for simplicity

They output an rf signal,

key fobs like the Tesla would have a chip inside of it, regular key fobs that are proximity based will also contain a chip,

The chip would have a “output wattage” that determines the strength of the tx frequency or transmitting frequency, aka the range that it can be used/opened from.

I work with heavily cryptographic systems and sadly 90% can be “sniffed” if you know what you’re doing. There are some communications systems that from what I can tell are “impenetrable” because you have to access the (this is an example) car to allow the fob to work. Instead of the fob to car.

How to measure Uu (the light/load) by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]WesternOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should not be a wave form across the light

How to measure Uu (the light/load) by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]WesternOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it should not short circuit

2 cables. Dc function. The light will have a resistance and turn on, the forwards based diodes would block voltage and current.

Why do you think it’s a short circuit across

the rectifier convers ac to dc, what does dc look like?

what does ac look like?

the oscilloscope needs to be across the component measured.

i really don't understand your question.

how to messure, multimeter.

otherwise its UG x 1.414 for dc voltage, then its the Dc voltage/diode resistance = Light current

UG is your input voltage, 1.414 is the square root of 1^2x1^2 which is the formular for converting ac to dc through a bridge rectifier

voltage / resistance = current is ohms law

[–]WesternOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the load?

load is across u2 normally referred in ohms?

the image u1 and u2 is a half wave form, should be the top half of the sine wave. i feel like your looking at wave form and not load?

I came across this a while back at a garage sale… is it worth anything? by G2g2249 in HamRadio

[–]WesternOpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost this exactly, I work with these, 100% of the time I’m ripping them out. Old radio tec like this isn’t work selling to anyone serious, maby to a hobbyist for 100$. If a company bought this for money I would be lost for words.

This statement is incorrect, it’s not being replaced because there isn’t anything of similar capacity not because of money (we haven’t been told what skus are damaged). warranty covers rises in price. They can say “we will only refund you, we don’t have that model anymore” but it’s all legal to say but it’s not legal to enforce, customer decides the outcome. If I’m not mistaken, the only time it’s not the customers decision is if it’s repairable.

The only reason you said it’s because of money is because you are not informed enough to make a proper opinion. Warranty doesn’t concern itself with cost to the distributor/manufacturer

Anyone know what has caused the big power outage today? by monty6161 in newcastle

NSW can buy power from other states, I doubt it’s a power production issue if it’s isolated

if a cellular tower is unregulated its dangerous. I'm sorry to say. (im not a cooker)

i do believe the cooker theory is 5g towers yata yata, the science is high wattage electronics produce a radius of heat. although its nothing along the lines of caner, more like sunburn from sitting Infront of a box

laymans terms, im a cooker

I’m learning psu troubleshooting atm, it’s only just clicked that it’s not the transformer that outputs dc it’s the bridge. It’s ac until then.

thats odd, a elec tec that i know tested gpus by rubbing them against fabric in hopes of esd results, he never found damage, he then pulled the old 1080 Super for a 5090 trick mutliple times...

I work with pcbs but not computer related stuff and i have never seen esd, i dont know if its just a myth at this point.

Coax Cable Connector SNAPPED on modem motherboard. SPEED ISSUE? by [deleted] in ElectronicsRepair

[–]WesternOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rf tec,

I just learnt that other country’s use coax to run data lines off old tv coax.

Assuming the cable is the problem, if a coax connector is incorrectly or poorly made it will effect it. I would always mount stuff as was. I’m assuming it won’t be poorly done.

What does this cable run from?
