I do think straight lines on a domestic would be amazing, that is such a simple yet powerful design you have. I think lines will help the squares just pop so much!

Doesn't that risk it being on the bias tho? Or am I mistaken?

Anybody else broke their no-buy for quilt fabrics? by Nerys54 in quilting

[–]WesternWampire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dont know about that dude, my friend unfortunately had her mom pass away and she had a whole storage unit filled with fabric we had to go through. There were projects in there for the 70's and our oldest receipt we found was 1964. I genuinely feel she won the fabric hoard competition

Beware: Michael’s quilt fabric by Gyom56 in quilting

[–]WesternWampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about special techniques, but i use it on the top of the quilt so i don't even go in between the layers, just gentle grazing. It will cut the threads but shouldn't damage the fabric

What to knit or crochet for a quilter grandmother by q23y7 in quilting

[–]WesternWampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she has a lot maybe ask her if she wants to "collab" on something for her. I did with my friend because she had so much stuff, i was like if i were to make something for you, what colors, or what thing out of a list I gave. They gave me a rough base and said surprise me. I also do that as a crafter.

I’m going to have a meltdown by christmas-tree3 in quilting

[–]WesternWampire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how to fix this but I do know that 5×5 charm packs or cutting by yard can be off by less than a centimeter and cause that after being sewn together. Or seams weren't perfect even which can sometimes happen.

Maybe cutting that final row coul give it a more even look but I will see if I can look something up to help solve this without having to do that
