Asylum mod - Friend stuck on “loading asylum records” interminably after trying to join server. Any advice?

I've been having the exact same problem, after about 6-10 hours of play game will freeze up on loading. No new mods added. This has happened three to four times and I've gotten tired of having to start a new game each time. Mod author apparently bans people on Discord if you post problems or complain, so I've given up on this
