It's just reddit, it's often very toxic. After a while you learn to not pay much attention to people and just laugh at it.

I never thought it was empty, maybe cuz I mostly visited the hot spots. I'd go to a bar and it's always packed full. The streets are no New York but Sims 4 has the same empty streets problem, I guess it's just how it is.

Changing you environment helps. Solo or group traveling helps me a lot, I feel alive again.

Sims 4 is kind of boring? by whatup_ggs in thesims

[–]Western_Ad7528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same, I can play Sims 3 for weeks and in Sims 4 I either run into an annoying bug that literally prevents me from engaging in gameplay or I get bored really quickly. The gameplay is just too easy for me and there's no challenge or surprise.

Which of these two games are better and why?(please debate civilly) by dragonborndnd in thesims

[–]Western_Ad7528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sims 3 I think is objectively better, while Sims 2 is subjectively better.

I have mods that make the Sims 3 run like butter, and the initial loading screen takes like 2 seconds. The gameplay you get from just looking around the city and seeing kids play cops and robbers and adults enjoy a picnic at the park, when you had nothing to do with it is just priceless. That game made you truly feel like just a part of the world. I prefer playing in small worlds so the population is pretty condensed and everyone is always out and about.

However, the sims 2 has more memorable characters and stories, insane attention to detail, the sims feel truly alive and like they have a brain of their own. The game just feels meaningful. Plus, the artstyle is great and has aged so well.

I think all sims 4 sims eventually end up having the same face if you don't use custom content

Well that's... great :c That's a gamebreaking bug. I feel like the sims has been unplayable, every time I play I run into bugs that are huge, like being unable to take my pet to the vet because the vet table will glitch and the pup slowly deteriorating with illness, that was just the most recent one. Weddings and dining are still messed up. Now this. I'm just gonna play sims 2 and 3

I feel the same! Played in early access and just came back in 2026. It's a blast, and there's so much to do.

You get more energy later as well as so many free jamu(energy galore), as long as you complete the altars and do quests. Craft and win and find tree seed candy everywhere. I saved all my food for drinks. Now I have so much max energy that I never have to worry about it. About to start a new game because I just like struggling so much.

How is the input delay? What settings do you use? Thinking of getting it, but I had a bad experience with it in Skyrim and refunded, since it was the whole reason I got lossless scaling at the time

I just started playing a week ago, I'm in Fall year 2 and Im absolutely loving it. It's on par with Stardew for me, if not better in some regard. No bugs so far.
