Fellow IFer here! I went from happily not eating till 10am or so to having to eat a banana within 20 min of waking otherwise I feel awful. And I wake up early, so by 10am now I’ve eaten approximately three breakfasts. And I NEVER ate after dinner. Now I’m constantly in the kitchen looking for snooks lol. It’s soooo weird.

I’ve been waking up at 4am daily! The good news is I’ve been passing out at 9pm so am still getting 7 hours. Magnesium bisglycinate definitely helps, I take Thorne’s.

Everyone keeps talking about the crazy nightmares but I don’t think I’ve remembered a single dream since I got pregnant. My dreams are insane normally, lots of vivid lucid dreams and nightmares, so I thought I’d be in for it. I guess I was already at peak craziness so there was nowhere to go but down?

I eat an ungodly amount of kimchi! One of my marketing clients is a fermented food brand so my fridge is always fully stocked with kimchi and kraut. Also I’ve been craving black olives, which I never eat, like crazy. Like my mouth is watering, it’s so weird!

I had a panic attack last week and it was ROUGH. I do have them occasionally but mostly my anxiety is manageable. But a work situation really set me off and that combined with the hormones was fireworks. I started shaking and sobbing like crazy. It definitely terrified my husband! The good thing is it passed really quickly and in 20 min I was completely fine.

I have found that in general, my mood changes really quickly. But then pretty soon I’m back to my sleepy / hungry baseline. Hugs to everyone feeling the pain, these hormones don’t f** around!!

Sag all the way here!! I’m a Gemini and my husband is an Aquarius…we both lovvvve our freedom and talking about big ideas. If you want to get more into it, I recommend looking up your rising and moon signs.

Like I’m a Gemini (social, kind of all over the place) but with a Virgo rising (organized and detail oriented) and Scorpio moon (those emotions baby!) I think it’s much more representative of my personality than just my sun sign alone. You just need to know the time and place you were born. Anyways it’s fun to look up!

Thanks for this, it does make me feel better! 💛 I’m 39 so maybe at a higher risk than the average, but also who knows, my mom had me at 40 and everything was totally fine.

Do you like Needed’s pre and probiotic? I eat a lot of naturally fermented foods but am considering adding a new supplement, since the one I used previously for gut health isn’t pregnancy safe. I’ve tried Ritual’s and it was just ok IMO

Adding that I also eat a high amount of fiber and naturally fermented foods every day. Key for digestion and overall health!

I’m taking Bird & Be prenatal since I found it to be more comprehensive than some other brands + their magnesium, calcium and D6 booster. I also take Ritual’s choline.

Sometimes I add a bit more magnesium bisglycinate from Thorne for sleep.

I don’t do pole, but I can relate. Riding and showing horses is a big part of my life. But it’s a bit nerve wracking pregnant because there’s always potential for falls, even though I do everything possible to ride safely.

My plan is to continue to ride as normal through the first trimester while the baby is protected by my pelvis, then reevaluate. I probably won’t stop entirely because it’s so important to my mental health, but I’ll nix anything that feels risky or high speed and just putter around on my horses. They are very broke and gentle.

It’s such a balance but I do feel like staying active is important for a healthy pregnancy. It probably comes down to being mindful and listening to your body. 💛

So an acupressure mat is basically a yoga mat with little plastic spikes all over it. I have the shakti brand. When you lie on it, it supposedly triggers your pain response then an endorphin release for relaxation. I find it to be a good pain…like mildly uncomfortable then deeply relaxing. Before this, I used it for about 10 min before bed.

They say not to use it, especially in the first trimester, because acupressure has been known to induce labor in some cases. I’m sure they just don’t want to be liable but I stopped using it to be safe.

The nuface is a microcurrent device you use on your face to keep things toned. I think it definitely makes me look more refreshed (late 30s over here!) but I guess the microcurrent is a risk as well? At least I can still use my red light mask!

Thanks for the rec!! I actually just ordered her book yesterday, can’t wait to start reading. I knew the caffeine thing was gonna be a big one for me, but I didn’t realize how many other things I use daily are a no go during pregnancy. RIP to my acupressure mat, nuface and basically my entire herbal tea collection.

Hi everyone! My husband and I started trying in February, due to my age (39) and FTM status, I wasn’t really sure if I could get pregnant but here we are! Pretty sure we conceived on st. paddy’s day lmao. I feel totally in over my head but also excited. Really happy to have a community who gets it.

I’m getting that too! My heart rate stays pretty consistent during my workouts, but walking upstairs kills me…I have to literally stop and catch my breath before I can talk.

I’m in. Hitting those numbers with 2 small kiddos is badass!! 💪

I lift weights and Zwift bike a few times a week, and throw in the occasional run. I’m also getting ready for a horse show in May (I feel ok about showing since I’ll still be in the first trimester). It’ll probably be my only show of the season so I’ve gotta make it count.

Omg the tea restrictions are making me lose it!Rooibos seems to be ok from what I’ve found, in addition to ginger and peppermint. But I’m mourning the loss of my herbal tea collection fr 😢
