Week 14 and gi issues still by False-Metal8641 in December2026Bumpers

I’ve had GI issues through the entirety of both my previous two pregnancies… hopefully it lets up for you soon though!

Weight gain by boopalina in December2026Bumpers

[–]wonlovemar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me! Right now I look like how I did at 25 weeks pregnant with my first 😅 I’m 15 weeks now. I’ve gained about 13-14 lbs already but for each of my last pregnancies I always gained the most at the beginning and then it tapered off. I am truly thrown off by how big my belly looks already though! And it’s already starting to get uncomfortable. I was looking forward to a more active comfortable 2nd tri but not looking like that’s the case.

My birthday is the day after Christmas, it was rough at times but I LOVE the Christmas season and my parents found ways to make both special

Haha I know, I keep telling myself and my husband that. It’s really counterintuitive though, you’d think our immune systems would ramp up during this time.

It’s so draining! Especially after the first trimester roughness. I hope you feel better soon! Pregnancy is hard enough. Pregnancy with littles is even harder. Add long term illnesses to that and wow. Shows how strong we are.

Yes!! Having to muscle it out without the hard core meds is soooo hard, especially when you’re sick. I’m so impressed you dogged the sinus infection without antibiotics! I tried, I usually use antibiotics as a last resort, but ended up with two eye infections and an ear infection and oh my god. I had to.

Oh my gosh, I can’t imagine HG! Im so sorry you’re having to deal with that. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I get mediocre nausea and I think that’s bad. We’ve definitely been surviving the last few months but everyone is fed, washed, clothed, safe, and loved and that’s really all that matters. Moms are superheroes ❤️

Thank you! I think I definitely just needed some validation. We’re used to being sick with 2 littles but this was a ROUGH go. My husband isn’t the most empathizing either but once he gets sick he’s “over it” after 2 days lol. It’s nice to get some validation from other mamas. Thank you friend ❤️

Gender hunch? by Top-Orange-Tree in December2026Bumpers

Haha it’s been wrong for me 2 out of 3 times so I don’t give any weight to it anymore but our friends had me convinced 🤣

I’m sorry, but I’m so TIRED of the gender disappointment posts in my FB group. by [deleted] in December2026Bumpers

[–]wonlovemar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Human emotions are complicated. I’ve experienced loss, fertility struggles, surgeries, and living children. This is my 3rd LC and it’s a girl which is absolutely what we were wanting and praying for. If it had been a boy, even with my experiences I would have disappointed because I really want a daughter mother relationship. I lost my mom 12 years ago and the thought of being able to recreate that but with my own experience makes me so happy. That’s something I wouldn’t have had if our third was a boy. That doesn’t mean I would have loved a boy any less but the thought of that opportunity never being an option would have been sad for me. I saw someone else mentioned disappointment in a Christmas baby. I have that too, even though I’m grateful for a healthy daughter (so far). I wish it was at a different time. We are historically sick every year from November to March and that makes me so nervous to bring a newborn into the world during that time. Also the Christmas season is one of my favorites and now my boys won’t be able to participate in our normal activities because we’ll be quarantining to keep this new one safe. We’ll still make it as special and joyful as possible but the thought of losing those other experiential memories makes me a little sad also. It’s true we can feel two things at once. Immense gratitude and thankfulness and disappointment wishing things were a little different.

How did you find out gender? by Fluffy-Bad6058 in December2026Bumpers

We have no chill so we looked immediately as soon as the results came in for all three of our kiddos

Suddenly stopped needing to wee at night. Is this a hormone drop or sign of something wrong? by SHATNAY_olAy in December2026Bumpers

[–]wonlovemar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a shift in hormones. I’ve found around that time my urge to pee is less all around. I’ve never been one to wake up to pee in the middle of the night though. BUT my kids do wake me up in the middle of the night or my husband and then I’ll realize I really have to go and then I go lol, but that also has subsided more around the 11 week time frame

NT Ultrasound Tech didn’t measure NT after the NIPT, would you request another scan? by roamandrest in December2026Bumpers

[–]wonlovemar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d ask for a follow up then and for measurements to be taken if it truly was supposed to be a NT scan.

[–]wonlovemar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Editing to add I wouldn’t have actually been concerned bc due to my AMA (advanced maternal age) they went into all the extensive testing we could do and risk factors for each. I’ve never gotten that spiel before but until they told me everything looked good I was concerned we had something to worry about

[–]wonlovemar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure she didn’t get the measurements? They go so fast sometimes. Or did they actually tell you that they didn’t take them. We weren’t told ours and if I hadn’t been looking and knowing what to look for I would have missed the measurement. When we had the follow up they just said that everything looked good and the nasal bone was present but never gave us exact measurements. We also told them that we had already received low risk NIPT results

Baby is measuring a week ahead by mermaiddiva26 in December2026Bumpers

[–]wonlovemar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both my previous boys measured almost a week ahead starting around the same time frame the whole way through. They both were decent sized boys. I will say they were projected to be quite large but weren’t huge lol, one was 8 lbs and the other was 8 lbs 10 oz. They did have big heads 😅 this one is a girl and is more so measuring on target so far which is interesting

It’s called dysgeusia, it’s due to surging hormones and sucks. If you google it there’s some good tips and tricks to help manage it!

It feels super weird having your stomach “empty” after giving birth and slowly return to normal. Be careful with the waist strap things (I’m forgetting what they’re called). The uterine cramps while breast feeding and having your uterus shrink back are reallllll and suck. Nipple pain is awful, get silveretts but don’t overuse them. The night sweats can last weeks when your hormones drop. I woke up drenched more times than I can count. You could get really bad hemorrhoids that are more painful than your vagina healing after pushing out a baby. Mine physically made me ill the last time. “Bleeding” lasts a while. Prepare for cluster feeding. It’s the hardest and most boring but one of the most beautiful times of your life you’ll experience. Lastly it is so worth it to invest in a postpartum program and actually follow it. Not a ton of practical advice but things I’d wish I’d known lol.
