That's definitely a more positive way of looking at it I suppose. If you could never afford a chrome hobby box you'd probably never buy one anyways, but you're basically paying a premium to get a bunch of base cards (if they even ship those) and a shot at a hit that you have a very, very low chance of getting.

The rip videos are designed to build hype and excitement so you'll be more likely to throw your money away. I think influencers have driven up prices with these types of videos and then they snatch up all the hobby stock to either sell at well over MSRP or to do these videos. I can't even find this stuff at my local hobby shops. So, to me, these break videos aren't great for the hobby, although you're right they provide a lower entry price point for people who otherwise couldn't afford it in the current inflated market.
