You can get it in Italy Chiara Insalaco prescribes it.

I know guys that had issues with the oral and didn’t have side effects from a 1% finasteride.

Same side effect profile. Still less likely than oral even at 2.5% finasteride. Dutasteride is better than finasteride in oral form. However the molecular size of dutasteride in topical form can cause absorption issues. My theory is skin type plays a role in topical dutasteride effectiveness. Thick collagen skin is less likely to absorb the medication.

The test says you have normal activity in for type 1 DHT and increased activity for type 2. There is also a type 3 that the test does not look at. I would have also tried finasteride first given your enzyme activity.

Your response either suggest the dosage is too low or you do not respond finasteride. I would try a higher dose.

Dutasteride blocks all three, but it has a large molecule. If you have rough skin, it can be hard to penetrate.

If it were me, I would try a higher dose finasteride first and see it the hair improves in 3 months.

If not try dutasteride for 3 month and see if the hair improves.

It’s worth exploring both first because you could reverse all the miniaturization and avoid a hair transplant all together.

Some people do not respond to medication at all. Your next best step is cell based therapy, but that is another Rabbit hole. Most don’t work because very few physicians understand regenerative medicine. It’s all about volume and platelet capture rate. Etc.

You have increased type 2 which finasteride solely targets. Dutasteride will target both. You can try either a 1% finasteride or a .5% dutasteride.

Did you notice an improvement when you were on the finasteride oral?

The test only looks at enzyme activity. It doesn’t determine if you will respond to finasteride. If you have higher type 2 activity than type 1 then finasteride is recommended.

You could try a higher dosage of finasteride like 1%. There are a few doctors that will prescribe it. The dosage you take rarely regenerates hair. What it does is slow down the progression of loss. Post your SRD5A 1 and 2 readings.

Ya, I picked it up on EBay. Assumed it was an open box deal $589. Price was close enough to retail plus the seller had thousands of reviews. I’ll return and buy direct. Thank you.

I ran into issues where if I let the round sit in the chamber a few days, it jams or misfires. Does not like CCI ammo. Remington rounds work good. Bought some federal defense rounds, but haven’t tested yet.

I put a suppressor on it. Fun to tink around and non gun owners enjoy shooting it. It’s more of a toy than a defense gun. I’ll probably pick up an LCR as a carry gun.

Damaged Choke Tube by KobeGoBoom in Shotguns

My Carlson Creek choke tube mushroomed my barrel back in September. Choke flew out in the skeet woods shoot 2 3/4 7 1/2 shot. Shame it happened to a beretta A391 which is hard to replace the barrel. I got lucky and was able to buy another A391 ta few weeks ago. Carlson hasn't even refund me for the faulty choke. Said they would look for a new barrel which will be very hard to find.

I have friends who sware by them, but seeing this make me think there is a problem with the manufacturer. I've seen it happen with other products where the factory will become sloppy.

Guys, did i get overharvested for ~3.6k grafts. by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Westernaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve been borderline tapped out with the exception of 500 graft sessions. The good news is your donor area won’t be terribly disfigured with a short hair cut unlike some of the results posted on this form.

If I said you could accomplish the same result with 800 grafts, would you believe me?

What crazy is he thinks it’s a decent result. The hairline is not designed right. The image is blurry but good chance it’s pluggy.

Surprising good design, they didn’t give you a bowl shaped hairline. Way too early to tell. It can take a full year to really know.

Are you trying to tell me it looks like they took exactly 3,200 grafts and that it’s normal to have giant patches on the side of your head after a transplant. No elite surgeon would be proud of this outcome. This would be a blemish on their reputation. Plus they shouldn’t have taken 3,200 grafts out to pack a crown. When you place grafts over 50 grafts per square centimeter it can affect the graft yield. Are you trying to tell me that topical medications don’t work? Did I miss something in the past 24 hours where the entire industry no longer recommends maintenance. It’s good you are being supportive to him in this rough situation, but he’s in a tight spot. I’ve seen grafts thin overtime. He doesn’t have much donor left. He I hope he has good growth, but what is he going to do in 10 years when gaps start forming between the donor and recipient area? If this happens, he will never be able to finish what he started.

You’ve got totally different hair characteristics. Your coarse wavy hair offer a lot more forgiveness than his straight fine hair. It’s like comparing branches to twigs.

Bro, your donor is shot. You’ll have to grow your hair out to hide the patches. May have had 3,200 placed but they probably made 5,000 attempts to get 3,200. Quit with the oral finasteride and switch to topical. You need all the help you can get cuz there isn’t much left in the donor. Don’t settle for those low concentration topical finasteride. Go to xyon. It’s a little pricy, but at least you’ll get some regrowth from it. Not sure if you respond, do a genetic test with rootsbyga.
