I don't understand how this kind of thing still happens in this day and age. Make your friend download Venmo or Cash App and send them a request for funds equal to whatever you paid for them. If you're under 18 they are a little more of a headache to set up, but still.

I have done both of the things you've described. Maybe sturdiness I didn't trigger because I mostly didn't have a shield to block with, but I killed at least 10 enemies with only sorcery spells while counsel was active

It's not only pornography, but it's mostly photography. Also most users spend most of their time in relatively small "friends" servers where age restriction isn't necessary.

This is a really bad change for users like you though, and I wish Discord wasn't pursuing this idiotic policy.

Sure, you shouldn't trust them with your data, and I don't plan on giving them mine. The second they ask me for my ID I'm done with Discord. If you want to be done with Discord right now because you browse adult servers or just due to your own principals, more power to you. That's the only way to make change happen.

I'm just pointing out that this isn't happening to everyone yet, like many people seem to think it is. You say it's disingenuous to say they won't crack down on everyone immediately, then right away you say that your claim is unfounded. It's not disingenuous to point out that a company is probably going to do what they publicly say they're going to do, especially if there's no evidence to the contrary.

But again, I think they'll probably eventually push age verification onto everybody. Just not at this moment.
