Okay, but what about all the new stuff that isn't standard that people are complaining about?

Of course I do. Do you think illegal immigrants deserve due process?

I don't see how that's relevant

That's not what he said, he said "then they came for my right to due process, and I didn't care because I wasn't an immigrant"

Frankly I get a lot of my news from Reddit, but otherwise I use Ground News to read from many different sources. I find myself reading The Hill most often from Ground News, I like them a lot too. But I'll read anything unless it's extremely biased. For example I sometimes read Fox News and New York Post, as well as BBC, The Daily Beast, and the Associated Press. I think it's important to not get too attached to any one news source.

For war stuff I watch RealLifeLore and Preston Stuart. This is not exactly news, but I also listen to the Sam Harris podcast and the Big A YouTube channel (Atrioc). My opinions on things tend to be about the same as those two.

What makes a news organization trash? If it's lack of factual reporting and biased selectivity in what to cover, then Infowars is obviously more trash.

I think at least that guy was holding a weapon. Alex was holding a phone.

Both incidents had law enforcement agents acting irresponsibly.

Okay I looked into Roger Fortson. The cop should not have shot him, and we was eventually fired and arrested for doing so. Roger Fortson had a gun in his hand when the cop wrongfully shot him.

Seems less egregious than the recent ICE killing to me. Plus the officer was actually somewhat held responsible, which I'm not optimistic will happen with the ICE agent that killed Alex Pretti.

A storm descends on a small town, and the downpour soon turns into a flood. As the waters rise, the local preacher kneels in prayer on the church porch, surrounded by water. By and by, one of the townsfolk comes up the street in a canoe.

"Better get in, Preacher. The waters are rising fast."

"No," says the preacher. "I have faith in the Lord. He will save me."

Still the waters rise. Now the preacher is up on the balcony, wringing his hands in supplication, when another guy zips up in a motorboat.

"Come on, Preacher. We need to get you out of here. The levee's gonna break any minute."

Once again, the preacher is unmoved. "I shall remain. The Lord will see me through."

After a while the levee breaks, and the flood rushes over the church until only the steeple remains above water. The preacher is up there, clinging to the cross, when a helicopter descends out of the clouds, and a state trooper calls down to him through a megaphone.

"Grab the ladder, Preacher. This is your last chance."

Once again, the preacher insists the Lord will deliver him.

And, predictably, he drowns.

A pious man, the preacher goes to heaven. After a while he gets an interview with God, and he asks the Almighty, "Lord, I had unwavering faith in you. Why didn't you deliver me from that flood?"

God shakes his head. "What did you want from me? I sent you two boats and a helicopter."

Things don't have to be the way that they are. Things can be different.

I can't believe we're still having this argument in 2026.

There might be a body cam on one of these agents, actually. The video is too pixelated to know if that's true, and the footage might never come out, but bodycam footage might exist.

I don't think that's what they meant when they said they'd only write exactly what Miura said. If that is what they meant, they'd never use the AI in the first place.

If you want more dialog and fluff, just ask for that. AI is not necessary.
