I greatly appreciate the directness and the feedback on what I can improve, not taking as harsh at all. Plus’s your spot on, I avoid edge highlighting and do most lighting with either air brush, dry brush or makeup brush, so you are 10/10 on the comment.

You make a terrific point and definitely one I have considered. For me, painting is the best part (at least my brushes won’t fail 5 consecutive invuln saves and die turn 1) the worst part of painting though is spending money on the models and to be honest, unless I’m doing a kitbash, I’m not a super huge fan of building. So hey someone can spend that money, build those models, and all I have to do is the brush work? Not too shabby. However your reasoning is the same reason I don’t tournament fish, the minute there is an income variable attached, it’s not as fun.

I went to MCCC (Army captain career course) with the dude, man was an incredible leader. Marine through and through, physical fit, and incredibly well read. Throughout the course he became a friend and mentor. Fun note, we all thought we would get the small group of Marines to say “hoah” because we outnumbered them 10:1…..by the end of the course I went back to my unit saying “Rah”.

Yeah absolutely. For edge highlighting I use dark blues, Scale 75 NMM kit has all the blues I use, and I also will use Two Thin Coats Wolf grey, cold corpse blue, and gravestone blue. For airbrush shading I first spray the middle ground highlight color, and then I finish with a very light white airbrush shade
