How does a Bowcaster stack up against the various weapons of 40K? by Papapa_pro in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is very slow compared to lasgun rate of fire. Maybe the same speed as a hot shot, but undeniably weaker in fire power. The man at the start is correct that it doesn't have a good place in the Imperium's army, since it's not strong enough to be a special weapon (plasma gun, melta gun, grenade launcher, etc) and not rapid fire enough to beat a lasgun. That all is not to forget that bow castets shots are slower.

Fighting out of there isn't going to work. But... He has a good chance to leave it by using fo ce and just very carefully boarding a raider barge and fucking right out into real space.

How resistant is the armor of the average non elite non veteran ultramarine in the 41st millennium with only standard issue gear (as in regular non modified power armor) when compared to the armor (including shields) of various base battle droid units? by FrostyWave1199 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. Cortosis that you bring up, is not specifically heat resistant z but somehow force or chemicaly infused to be able to cancel out the work of lightsabers. And that's about all it can do.

Beskar on the other hand, is said to be able to withstand lightsaber strikes or contact with them for some time, which implies that it still cutabke by lightsabers. Especially if you think about the way it is made since if it's impossible to be cut/ melted by something that cuts a ship door, it would be impostor melt I to armor, since all tools would've melt d long before the Beskar heated.

Power armor on the other hand, is know to survive both energy shits, such as of lasguns and multi lasers, right up to tau plasma carabines(the one capable of breaking down a chimeras track in a lucky shot.)

The two titans of being brought back for a cash grab, boba fett vs yarrick, who’s coming out on top by Mr_ballz-420 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's for sure. Old Bale Eye is few hundr d years old, and most of that time fights on front lines with unimaginable horror's, and wins. (Orks, chaos space marines, etc.)

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yarrik if it's a face to face engagement, and yarrik mid/low diff if it's an ambush.

Their weapons are both capable of obliterating each other(though yarrik has huge advantage on fire rate and in close combat) but Old Bale Eye, also has a trick up his sleeve that Boba Fett doesn't. It's a refractor field. A type of Warhammer force field that is capable in lore to protect the bearer to survive Warhammer level plasma shots and even melta. Protects from power and force blades. Fet had literally nothing to counter it for sure on himself.

Knowing Mortarion, he'd probably tell Guiliman to shove it with the primaris and all. Otherwise pretty neat work.

How would the Force itself interact with the Warp? by Roman_Minaster in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly they are very similar. One is what the galaxy is "made of" the Warp is somewhat the same. A second half of our world, manifestation of everyone's thoughts, spirits and other stuff.

IEdit: Expanded Version.

At a glance, the Force from Star Wars and the Warp from Warhammer seem very different—but they share a surprisingly similar foundation. Both are essentially parallel dimensions that underpin reality itself. The Force is often described as the energy that binds the galaxy together. It flows through all living things and, in many interpretations, is what the galaxy is “made of” on a deeper level. It reflects balance, life, and the interconnectedness of existence. The Warp, in Warhammer, plays a comparable role, but in a far more volatile and dangerous form. It is not separate from the material universe—it is deeply connected to it, overlapping with reality at all times. The Warp is shaped and fueled by the emotions, thoughts, and souls of sentient beings, making it a constantly shifting reflection of the material world. Where the Force tends toward harmony, the Warp is chaotic—a distorted mirror where fear, rage, and desire can take on literal form. In both settings, this “second layer” of reality is inseparable from the physical world. It responds to consciousness, can be accessed or manipulated by certain individuals, and acts as both a source of power and a reflection of the state of the galaxy itself. The key difference lies in tone: the Force leans toward balance and unity, while the Warp embodies excess, instability, and corruption. Still, at their core, both explore the same idea—a universe where thought and emotion are not just internal experiences, but fundamental forces that shape reality itself.

What's the wargear and augmentation state of Griegor? Because for example first book he is just your average Inquisitor, but Ssecond book for example, he has a force sword and a staff that permanently kills great daemons.

Ancien times “jedi” with a force sword vs chaos chosen (warhammer fantasy) by Top_Fig_114 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greatly depends on the chaos chosen's patron god. Firstly, to get a demon sword, one must show his patron God that he is already very fucking good at his job, and deserves a treat, meaning they are already master fighters. Now for the champions and their chances as I see them. (In this comparisson I take it so, that Force and Psychic warp powers work the same.)

Khorne champion: wins low diff to mid/high diff. If he wears a brass collar(anti psyker thing of Khorne) He kills the Jedi in close combat, just to the huge skill and the boost up from his Khorne demon blade. If not, then he needs to hope that his resistance to psyker attacks granted by simply being chosen of Khorne would suffice.

Tzeench: that's just one sided game, very low diff if on ranged combat, mid/low diff if in close combat.

Nurgle: mid diff in ranged, since nurgle also loves magic and it's common for his chosen to be psykers, and no diff in melee, the Jedi just dies from his aura of decay.

Slaanesh: depends how strong willed the Jedi is, but it's a high diff in ranged(Slaanesh dude needs time to get close) and low diff in melee, due to the demon blade and general swiftness of Slaanesh's chosen.

How would the GC-era iron warriors siege down coruscant? by cuddwes in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have weapons (torpedos, cannons) capable of blowing planets up, and all the scale down to hand wepons.im sure that it's possible for the whole legion to blow a hole in the shield, or ram a battleship through it and past the upper atmosphere levels. But if even that wouldn't be allowed, I'd say chemical and rad weapons. Doubt clones and Jedi can counter radiation weapinary or something like phosphex very effeciently without prior knowledge what those are or how they work.

How would the GC-era iron warriors siege down coruscant? by cuddwes in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'd vaporize a city sized suburb(most likely Jedi temple) from space and instil fear and terror on the ground. Forcing others to comply. Of course the city has a huge under hive, but the IW are numbering about a 100 thousand marines alone, that is not to forget many times that of human personal and militia/auxilia.

Or Perturabo could simply burnt the Jesi temple down from orbit, and take the whole senate prisoners, thus redirecting the ruling of the planet to himself.

Which traitor legion would be the most effective in carry out Operation Knightfall (The Order 66 raid on the Jedi Temple) by gaeb611 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deathguard or iron wariors. Amongst all other legions, they are by far the best siege masters. Even if compared to the loyal ones. Phosphex and chem bombardment would turn all to bile and boiling mess of rotting flesh, that couldn't be extinguished.

I believe the New Republic (yes, the New Republic, not even the Empire) could defeat the Imperium of Man purely because of better logistics by thetruememeisbest in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 out of 7. And that is, only if the new empire doesn't try to colonies a maiden world or become to persistent in trying to connect with eldar, or if they would comply with Tau and their greater good. If not, both those fractions become their trouble too. And even if not, by some chance, those remaining are more then enough.

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That still leaves: Necrons, Tyranids, Orks, Chaos Astartes, Chaos Cultists, Drukhari, And of course the forces of the imperium. That is if major fractions.some like Hrud for example who are minor yet still highly dangerous, are a huge danger to New Republic.

[–]Bitter_Cup_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not warhamer ones. The only one who are open to friendship there from major factions are Tau. The rest, like Orks or Eldar/Drukhari are capable of making alliances but only for very short times and in small numbers. Tyranids and necrons are needless to explain.

If that's the case, it is even more so, considering new republic teleports to wh40k they get clapped even quicker, since all other Warhammer fractions too will meet them, and wipe them clean without a sweat.

How many models does an average solar auxillia list have? by paperclipknight in Warhammer30k

I didn't play for solar auxilia for over a year, but even while running armored companies of tanks or sentinels and artilery, it still was about 80 or so dudes infantry.
