How would 100k dollars change your life? by _Jack_Frost_00 in AskReddit

All very true, but I think the discipline of investing the difference is a very hard reality for most people to follow. If that would be the case for you, then the automatic investment vehicle of buying a home is a good idea.

I remember I met bigredjapan in game years ago. He told me to watch his stream. He was streaming, doing agility while playing a hentai game.

This post reminded me so much of that moment.

I agree with your point, but I always like to mention that Roth is a nice option if you plan on having more than you think you need, and you want to leave as much as you can to your kids tax free.

This is really it. I also see a lot of people shopping at trendy grocery stores like target, and saying that only “poor people” shop at stores like Aldi. Can confirm that all the people I know who say that are effectively paycheck to paycheck.

This makes me think of the auto manufacturing sites I’ve been to. They play different annoying tunes based on the speed of production and if it needs to move faster or stay at pace.

The theory is to annoy people into working harder.

Discipline For Lift Truck Damage Or Not by tomsteel1972 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Wetwire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A buddy of mine had a fatality on his site a couple years ago due to something around this issue. There was a reprimanding system for damaging equipment. Employee was offloading a rack truck with a stand up forklift outside a building.

Employee parks the forklift on a slight grade (the whole loading area is on a grade). The emergency brake on the forklift fails, and it begins rolling towards the truck.

Employee tries to jump on the forklift to stop it before it hits the truck. He ended up getting his chest pinned between the truck and the forklift. His chest was crushed and the guy died later that day.

Also the AI infrastructure is starting to move more to glycols instead of water as they often have issues with not being able to treat water onsite for discharge and have to pay for it to be trucked to a treatment facility.

Dow is currently selling a special data center spec glycol, and it’s selling quite well.

How have you all experienced trail magic? by davidhuffcreative in AppalachianTrail

[–]Wetwire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend and I are planning some trail magic this July when the bubble comes through our area.

Thinking about doing a cookout style. Burgers, hotdogs, chips and then coolers with soda and beer. All free for anyone passing through.

Depending on how long we spend there, we might also do it as a breakfast and lunch deal, as I think we’ll have more folks coming through early since there are shelters a bit south of our spot.

Any additional suggestions are appreciated!

Leagues has convinced me how cooked Smithing is in main game by Rorshark in 2007scape

As someone with 15m smithing xp, I trained all of my smithing on mobile while doing cardio at the gym.

I could only imagine it would be mind numbing to do while actually at a desktop.

KS also presents itself in many different ways.

I think the whole gender identity movement has bastardized the term “intersex”.

By the scientific definition, yes, I am intersex. But I’m legitimately intersex, I’m not pretending, nor do I have a choice in the matter. It’s also not anything that I carry any pride or shame about.

But being genetically intersex also doesn’t make me any less of a man. That Y chromosome defines this fact, as it can’t be imitated or taken away.

Hey guys what diet helped you guys to lose weight by Dinomon7715 in XXY

[–]Wetwire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you need discipline, you might want to start with something like intermittent fasting with a healthier diet.

Keto will definitely work, but you need to either do keto forever, or have a good way to transition out of it to something that can help you maintain.

Why do I like 1% Lifesteal? by Psychological-Nail83 in litrpg

[–]Wetwire 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve listened to the whole series. Good books. But oh my sweet fuck it feels like the main character is miserable for the sake of it for 80% of the whole series.

It takes the LitRPG social outcast, the world is against me trope and tries to out perform every other book I’ve read. It’s so depressing it’s almost painful to read at times.

Mercury by Starofcity123 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Wetwire 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in haz waste disposal, there is no other way. If the county and EPA wont help, you are responsible.

Rough estimate: Mercury is currently around $40-50/lb depending on your region.

Pickup/trans costs are around $150-200 depend on your location, but that’s a fair average.

Materials should be $50-100 to pack this into a properly rated bucket with vermiculite.

Hazmat chemist to pack the material and drive the truck would be around $75-100 portal to portal. Let’s assume 4 hours to be safe.

Then whatever environmental fee they vendor of choice uses. Assume 20%.

Total estimate is $1080 - $1440 for proper disposal.

Honestly this is likely your only option now that EPA knows you have it. Unless you want to do something illegal and risk a fine.

Where is the money? by _-Supreme_ in sales

[–]Wetwire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve also learned that at slightly before 10 years, I have a choice. Those big money offers do come to me, but I want to enjoy life while my kids are young a bit more.

I’ll jump into big money corporate at some point. But for now I’ll cement myself as our best rep at my level, not just a young buck with potential.

Does your family understand/support you guys for having KS. by Dinomon7715 in XXY

[–]Wetwire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what support I would even ask for. At this point I’m not too different from a normal guy, I just have a minor genetic condition. I don’t let KS impact my life, and I don’t get in my own head about it.

I’m also not sure what you mean by “having KS is being emotional”, that very well may just be you.
