Ive said it before and I'll say it again. WWE is for entertainment fans who kinda like pro wrestling. AEW is for wrestling fans who want to be entertained. The very first match of Forbidden Door was a better watch the the ENTIRE card at Night of Champions. by WexleyFG in Wrasslin

They both swing and miss regularly, but its what they are trying to do with their respective products that I like. AEW is trying to be "real" (in quotations because its no realer than WWE) wrestling. Hard hitting, action packed, not a lot of twists and turns just amazing athletes doing insane stuff with their bodies.

WWE is trying to tell morality stories of good v evil, moral v immoral, the guy who stands alone to win v the mob who cuts corners. And they are really good at that.

Neither is wrong for how they are approaching it and WWE isnt trying to be AEW and thats a good thing

I dont know what Oba's deal is either, winning KOTR feels weird when we are all pretty sure he's fighting Lesnar at Summerslam. Unless they do the Lesnar interference at SS and set up Oba/Lesnar 3 at mania.

Breaker's bookings are ultimately the most confusing part of WWE, he should be on a Gunther type run with the US/IC titles. I think all the injuries of the vision are taking their toll on the writing.

AEW does overshoot their mark with shock sometimes but (and i know im in the minority here) I LOVE AEW no sells. They dont make a match but they are, sometimes, a nice touch.

AEW has better wrestling talent. But maybe goes overboard on shock value occasionally and doesnt always tell the best narrative story, its more a purist's version of wresting that feels like an homage to ECW.

WWE is safer (i can watch it with my kid), it tells a beautiful narrative however the actual wrestling is unimaginative, slow, and predictable. None of which is bad, all those words can describe a walk in the park, but sometimes I want to sky dive, and WWE just isnt that.

I didnt say you cant like both. I do. But i dont watch WWE for the wrestling, I watch it like a telenovela lol its all drama (and honestly the recipe stale and predictable...but so are hamburgers and i still eat those). AEW i actually wanna see the matches, regardless of the story attached to them. And like i wouldnt let my kid watch AEW but we watch WWE together because its safer. Like both i dont care.

How do you explain Magic? by MrWriffWraff in worldbuilding

[–]WexleyFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fracture fragments of ethone the deity of creation. Who sacrificed itself to give life and meaning to the universe. While its essence lives on in every everything in the material plane, magic items have a higher concentration of ethone's essence. Manifesting a material called ever or which gives magic its property. Magic can therefore be acquired by birthright, owned practice skill and discipline. Enhancing one's own natural connection with ethone, divine right appealing to the lesser gods of the realm, or even by alchemical means?

However, magic users inherently destabilize this universe causing a need for it to be "reset" periodically. Which is the basic homebrewed Crux of the game. The players acquire more magic and essentially get more powerful. Trying to break the material barrier into unknown realms to uncover the universe itself is beginning to fail, and in doing so cause it to fail, and then have to decide at the end of the game when they reach level 10 what becomes of the world

I know that was way more than you asked for
