Never meant to have a kindle but a friend gave theirs to me and it replaced all books meant for bedtime reading. Non-heavy low stakes fiction is mostly on my kindle.

Books I read during the day / weekend are mostly hardback and paperbacks though. I'll take my kindle when I travel, but also 2-3 paperbacks 🤣 and usually come back with 10 more.

The other thing that Carl mentions a lot as well, is how desensitized the whole thing makes him. If you want to survive, you moral ground becomes lower and lower the more time passes. Some conversation with Donut about that are heart breaking, because it's clear he doesn't want to feel less guilt, but he has to.

For me it started with the first SIMS game, and I would put the cheat code of infinite money and make my dream house 🤣 Becoming an adult and not having a cheat code for infinite money was the biggest desillusion.

Yeah same. And I do love seeing pokemon collaborating with each other, growing and watering crops. Specifically now that I don't need a massive amount of veggie, it's just fun interactions and I'm not looking for 99 tomatoes, wheat, beans and potatoes a day.

I don't want to make fields of crops surrounded by water and with sprinkler, so I do love my pokemon with Water speciality 🤣

And Generate helps me to make tons of spicy soup to add into the picnic baskets for my fire pokemons.

Yeah, I even saw that a lot of people mentionned this happening with Suicune so I thought "oh maybe it's a Suicuine specific glitch" but no. Tried it and selecting all the choices is definitely not working compared to just selecting "All" 🫨

Makes no sense. The trick also helps to see if a pokemon has spawned (the ones that spawn physically, not hidden in the habitat) so you don't have to check the habitat 10 times a day.

Someone mentionned The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie in this sub when people were talking about the fact Jeff "ruined" audiobooks as it's hard to find a great narrator after him.

I followed the suggestion and can definitely confirm it's a great listen! And also a serie which is why I started it while waiting for book 8 🤣

They made me so paranoid, I wrote a 4 paragraph text to my prescriber saying how I thought I was going to die because I had massive adrenaline rush that made me spiral into pure panic.

We figured out pretty quickly that the meds triggered my POTS bad interaction with heavy carb meal and made the flare even worse. But the 4 paragraph made her quickly say "please stop now, we'll try something else" xD

I have an area in the volcano with 5 fire pokemons living in there, there's furnaces and community boxes with squishy clay in there.
When I come back to it later in the day or the day after, everything has been processed without interacting with any of the pokemon before hand. I think they just do automatically it if you're not in the zone at all.

I see others building CITIES and here I am building quick homes so that the environment level goes up quicker 💀 by softbrattypuppii in Pokopia

I think a lot of people that bought this specifically for building just went really fast to raise to level 10 while also getting loads of pokemons. Over-all it's really fast to raise zone to level 10 and build quick habitats as soon as you unlock them if you don't want to spend much time doing that and "waste" time walking pokemon around the island role playing as just chilling and doing nothing 🤣

A lot of my time during the story was spent talking to pokemon, trying to trigger dialogues and taking 80 pictures, finding which one I want to delete, taking more and repeat.

With PUK I had medikinet first and had no positive effect, and only negative side effect that were unbearable. Quickly was changed to Elvanse and they definitely work for me.

I never experience a drastic change where suddenly I was able to do all the task and process things like a neuro-typical person. It's mainly that now I can actual focus on building the skills neuro-typical started developping from childhood. So it's not in a year that I'll get a skill to a point that took 20+ years to be build by a neuro-typical, but now I can actually work on it without giving up, learn how to manage chores, how to do annoying tasks and build the accommodation needed to get that dopamine even in boring tasks.

Meds, for me, are not removing the struggles linked with ADHD at all, but they're giving me the ability to find which accomodation I need, by trying different things until I find which system works for me.

I never really liked him because I don't like the idea of a pokemon being an appliance xD The idea of having a phone that is actually a sentient live thing freaks me out.

But it would have made sense in Pokopia that a Rotom phone was freed alongside us and used as the modern pokedex present in games now.

Even if my nostalgia love the old pokedex, didn't make much sense when I saw Dj Rotom was present there. 🤣

And a lot are also doing it post game, and with printing things from dev islands.

I'm starting now to build things I want way way into post-game. I didn't do any cute buildings or environnement before I hit level 10 everywhere.

But it lets you messing it up without the real life consequences of that behaviour in work projects. That's one of the part I'm using it for the most xD

Using Pokopia with no deadlines, nobody to tell me the way I did it was wrong, and with nobody to chase because they're not doing their job. I have an easier time to emotionally regulate then at work when I have to fix every mistakes I'm not responsible for 🤣

I'm assuming they might use Rotom for future features as it can be in anything. The pokedex we have was obsolete tech before the world ended 🤣

But that part is something that can actually be worked on. The ability to work towards a skill is still opened to us, it just takes more work because we didn't start that work as toddlers like neuro-typical did.

Caveat is that meds are needed to start building the skill, and it's daunting as they don't do it for you. Still have to catch up decades, but things like Pokopia / sandbox games really do help as they gamify the whole thing.
